Very quiet house set in seven and half acres with peaceful uninterrupted country views. Away from the hustle and bustle but within very easy driving distance to Bergerac, Perigeux and Bordeaux. This property is South facing, so enjoying the sun from early morning until night. Other airports include Bordeaux at 100kms and Angoulême at 80 km.

Périgueux is the county capital of the Dordogne (its Préfecture) a territory roughly corresponding to the ancient Perigord. HERITAGE SITE: The UNESCO World heritage sites of the Lascaux Caves and the region around Les Eyzies. Many local markets to name a few, St Astier, Riberac, Brantome, Bergerac, Sarlat. Local canoeing at Sarlat, Brantome, St Astier. Many places to eat in Perigeuex, Begerac, Brantome, Riberac. Fishing available locally in St Aquilin.Sarlat-la-Caneda is really worth a visit. In the heart of the Perigord Noir, Sarlat grew up around a Benedictine abbey founded in the 9th century. It has a distinct medieval feel about it, with numerous magnificent buildings around every corner you turn. The towns Saturday market is also a main feature with its truffles, foie gras and mushrooms (depending on the season). Brantome is known as the 'Venice of the Perigord', has a VIIIc Benedictine Abbey with monastery gardens,caves 'Grottes du Denier Judgement' and superb restaurants.

Thank you so much for such a great holiday. The house was really well equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Such a lovely area to stay in - it felt very authentic, and we really felt as though we were getting a proper slice of french life! The weather was amazing and lying by the pool looking out over the landscape with nobody to bother you was just what we needed!
The markets were amazing - would definitely recommend anyone visiting the house to visit some. Amazing cheeses, meats and wines! There was such a happy mix of things to do in the area too. The days that we felt a bit more energized we visited some beautiful local towns, a chateau, went 'sit on' kayaking along one of the rivers (stunning and a must for anyone who can comfortably paddle for a couple of hours!!) and we even went to Bordeaux shopping for the day.
The house had all the space anyone could want, with amazing views outside and plenty of room inside. The conservatory was a lovely place to sit in the evenings with a glass of wine and the double doors open, watching the sun go down.
We hope to visit again soon in the future for sure. We would recommend it to anyone!

Beautiful views! Perfect swimmin pool for the children. Lovely to see the wild deer running through the fields. A real must to try canoeing in Brantome. Will be going back next year!
