Sitio Dos Gavioes is built to evoke a traditional Portuguese manor house in a plot of about an acre located in a rural conservation area very close to the beach at Porto do Mos and close to Lagos. It has a large family kitchen/dining room; an upstairs sitting room with satellite TV, video player; balconies with beautiful views; large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom; downstairs four smaller bedrooms, air conditioned, two with en-suite bathrooms, and a shared bathroom. Outside is a terrace with shaded area, pool (11 metres), barbecue, and mature shrubs. Lagos is ancient and picturesque with many shops, restaurants, bars. There are fine golf courses and many beautiful beaches in easy reach, including great surfing, and plenty of things to do described in an information folder in the house. Near beach at Porto do Mos, between Lagos and Praia da Luz in West Algarve. Lagos has restaurants, bars, shops, and lots to see and do. Golf is at Boa Vista, Penina, Parque da Foresta, all favourites for golfers, amongst others. Surf is good especially in winter at beaches at Praia do Amado, Beliche, Zavial, Mareta, etc. Sagres and Cape St Vincent are close as are villages of Burgau, Salema, Figuera.

Notes to the rental rates

  • The price quoted is the cost in Sterling for up to 10 people plus a baby occupying the house for one week between the dates shown. The owners may be prepared to allow additional people to occupy the house in some circumstances. Any such arrangement, including appropriate extra charges, would be the subject of negotiations.
    Prices are based on Saturday changeovers (when there are many flights from UK airports to the Algarve). Bookings based on other changeover days can be accepted subject to availability, with prices calculated on a daily basis.
  • Inclusions: Gas, Electricity and Water are included in the price. Bedding and bed linen, a bath and hand towel, and a beach towel are provided at no extra cost for each person. A 'Starter Pack' of basic provisions is provided. Maids come at the end of each week to clean and change bedding etc., and once in the middle of each week. A cot and high chair are usually available on request at no extra cost. We can usually supply bedding for the cot.
  • Long Lets: it may be possible to rent the property for longer periods during the winter, between October and March. Rent will be negotiated but probably be about £800 per month, and this price would not include gas, electricity, laundry, maid or 'starter pack'.
