This beautiful one bedroom apartment has just been renovated to the highest standard. Its classically decorated lounge directly overlooks the Water of Leith so it is perfect for those relaxing nights in, but is just a stone's throw away from Edinburgh's busy night-life, with pubs and restaurants literally on your doorstep (although you won't hear them from the flat) and tourist attractions just minutes away!! The Water of Leith itself is great for daytime walks, and bike rides along the long winding cycle path from it's source, down to the Port of Leith. The lounge has a sofa, double sofa bed, TV, DVD player and sound system. The kitchen is fully equipped with washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, and the double bedroom has ample storage, as well as a comfortable double bed. The modern bathroom has a traditional 3 piece suite and a shower over the bath. All linen and bedding is provided. The property address is Flat 9, 5 Dean Bank Lane, Edinburgh EH3 5BS

This property is in a really great area and it was clean & comfortable! Takes about 15 minutes to walk to Waverly Bridge. Located right on the water of leith (beautiful walking path!), you can hear the sound of the water rushing as you lay in bed. The kitchen was fully equipped, and beautifully renovated. Brochures of what to do in the city are provided and David was very helpful! Definitely recommend this place to stay and the city. Edinburgh is beautiful!

My fiance and I stayed here for five days in February 2008 and absolutely loved it. The location in Stockbridge is perfect; there are nice pubs, restaurants, and shops just outside the door. The center of Edinburgh is about a 10 minute walk away, and the walk through New Town is gorgeous. One day we walked along the Water of Leith which was lovely. The flat itself is wonderful, the kitchen and sitting room have all the modern conveniences and it was very handy to be able to do laundry and cook dinner in the flat. The bathroom is nicely appointed and the bed very comfortable. The owner provides towels, biscuits and tea, and milk as well as a guide to Edinburgh and other helpful info which was a nice touch. David was waiting for us at the flat when we arrived and we never had any problems. Overall, this flat is highly recommended!

wonderful central place to stay in Edinburgh

My teenaged son and I had a great 4 night stay in this flat. It is very well-equipped, comfortable, everything you could possibly need. The wine, biscuits, fresh milk/coffee/tea and other basics were really handy. Being able catch up with our laundry after touring was great.

The welcome from the owner David was warm as was the flat itself. David gave us lots of helpful local information and the folders in the flat told us everything we needed to know about local information [like where to shop, places to eat, what to do in an emergency, etc] as well as good info on tourist attractions around Edinburgh. We explored the local area too and enjoyed our walks along the Water of Leith, the Dean Gallery, the local op shops and eating places.

I would recommend the flat highly and do hope I can return in the not too distant future.

A very well equiped property. A quiet location to relax and unwind but within walking distance to places of interest. It was very nice to be met and shown around the property when we arrived and to have a pack of essentials, its those little extra touches that make all the difference.

Peaceful, Quiet Retreat in the City

The property was in an excellent location with a market across the street. Peaceful and quiet location on the waterway. The apartment was on 2 floors and fully equipped with all appliances. You can sleep with the windows open and hear the stream running past. A great place to come home to after a day of sightseeing. If you're looking to save money, you can cook your meals in, a nice plus, and laundry is in the apartment.
The owner was at the property exactly on time to hand over the keys. Nothing bad to say about this property.
