SPECIAL OFFER : TWO WEEKS JUNE 2010 = Euros 895 / £850 Villa Emilu is in a delightful unspoiled complex surrounded by vineyards, and a haven for walkers or beach lovers alike as it so close to the sea. The villa is situated in a small newly built collection of villas on the edge, and a quiet stroll from the unspoilt and charming village of Portiragnes, with a supermarket, boulangerie, charcuterie, tabac and church. It also has the benefit of being on the Canal du Midi yet only 2 minutes from the blue flagged beach of Portiragnes Plage. The beach front has a hotel, and a small number of bars, cafes and shops. A control on building has meant that it has kept its charm and natural beauty, but still provides all the essential amenities found at a beach side village. The lovely town of Beziers is only 10 minutes away and Narbonne 20 minutes away.

    Cheap flights daily to Bezier, Montpellier, Perpignan, Nimes, Carcassonne and Barcelona airport. 7.5 hours drive from St. Malo ferry port. Property available from 4pm on the Saturday you arrive, and vacate property by 10 am on the Saturday you leave. Please note that the villa must be left clean, tidy and hovered.

Notes: The terrace at the front of the villa has garden furniture, deck chairs and a gas barbecue. As you enter Villa Emilu you find yourself in the living room / kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with combination microwave / fan oven / grill, 2 plate hob, kettle, full size fridge/freezer, washing machine, dish washer and all crockery, glasses and utensils. There is a dining table and chairs and large sofa bed. In the living area you will find a TV / Video (a collection of videos and CD). CD player and radio. The 1st floor is approached by a pine staircase where there is a large airy double bedroom with beamed ceiling and next door the other bedroom has a set of bunk beds, a single bed, making it ideal for children or a combination of adults/children. Downstairs is a separate WC and shower room. EMILU is furnished with individual style to a very high standard. Air conditioning is provided by electric fans in each room. Shared swimming pool.

This villa is small but well equipped and well maintained, bedrooms good size for 4 people would be a bit cramped for more, unless your children were very young. Spiral staircase to bedrooms is steep. Pool on complex lovely and good place to meet people. The beaches are really close about 10 mins in the car and are lovely.There are loads of local attractions to see, cycling along the canal du midi is great. We had a great time here exploring the area. The only down side is that you are responsible for cleaning the whole villa before departure which sort of ruins your last evening/morning.
Owner's Response: The staircase is not "spiral" but an L shaped staircase, and in 7 years of renting no one has ever mentioned that it is steep ?? We do request that renters clean and tidy the villa on their departure, but we are happy to take a greater rental amount if they do not wish to clean.

What a fab villa and venue ! Everything we needed. We had a fantastic holiday. The villa was very well equipped, clean and comfortable, in a wonderful region of France. Many thanks. We will be back !

Erholsame Ferien in ruhiger Umgebung!

Die Villa ist sehr schön ruhig gelegen, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir waren zu fünft, mit vier Personen wäre es optimal. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet, aber ein bißchen wenig Stauraum. Im Kinderzimmer gibt es nur eine Kommode, bei 3 Kindern ist das sehr wenig. Im Schlafzimmer gibt es auch nur eine Kommode und eine Kleiderstange. In einer weiteren Kommode ist die Lüftung für das da unter liegende Bad eingebaut, die leise Geräusche von sich gibt. Das ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Toll: 3 Ventilatoren! Die Terasse ist schön, der Pool ebenfalls. Villa ist sehr liebevoll dekoriert. Das Gefrierfach müßte dringend repariert werden!

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub, der Strand ist fantastisch, das Dorf sehr süß, allerdings darf man keine Shopping-Meile erwarten. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und bemüht sich sehr geduldig, alle Fragen zu beantworten. Das Hausmeisterehepaar war sehr entgegenkommend.
