Ideal apartment in the heart of Aix

We spent a wonderful week in Aix at the end of June. I don't normally write reviews about apartments or hotels but felt I had to about this one. It was truly the best apartment we have ever stayed at and far exceeded our expectations. The flat is modern, very well maintained, stylishly decorated with lots of finishing touches, it has a large terrace and all the modern comforts including air conditioning. The owner has obviously put in a lot of thought into decorating the flat, so you felt very much at home. She was charming and very helpful and the flat is right in the heart of the town, a couple of minutes walk from La Rotonde. There is a handy supermarket round the corner - the fruit and vegetables are reasonable and good quality - it is a Monoprix so it also sells clothes and toiletries.There are lots of retaurants within walking distance and various lovely shops. The market which takes place three times a week is one of the best in the area. Aix is a charming town - we did not have enough time to explore it properly, as we wanted to see as much as possible of the surrounding area. So all I can add is that we would not hesitate to go back to Aix - there is still lots we have not seen - and would certainly stay in this flat again.
