Transfer from the airport takes 5 minutes and the ski slopes at Krvavec are only 10 minutes away. The patio area outside is spacious and looks out over open fields and receives direct sun all afternoon and evening.

The property is in Trata yet walking distance from the beautifull village of Adergas with the Velosovo convent once an important point of pilgrimage. In Adergas you will find a cosy bar, tennis courts and the the most beautiful monuments to the Baroque in Slovenia, the Church of the Annunciation. Cerklje a village 5 minutes away by bus or car (bus stop directly outside the apartment) is a typical rural village where most things can be found with a few busy bars especially in the ski season. Going 15 minutes in the other direction (West) from the property one will find Kranj which is Slovenia 5th biggest town with a beautiful old town centre with great mountain views. 25 minutes by car will take you to the centres of Bled and Ljubljana. A visit to both romantic locations is a must if you visit Slovenia. In less than an hour you will reach the beautiful Adriatic coast where you can stroll around the beautiful seaside town of Piran with its Venetian influences.

Discovering Slovenia: The location only 5 minutes from Ljubljana airport is virtually unbeatable if you wish to visit the most popular parts of Slovenia. Bled, Ljubljana, Austria less than 25 minutes drive. Swim in the Adriatic in less than an hour!

Walking, cycling, fishig, Golf etc : You can walk / cycle from the doorstep directly to the mountains if you wish. We have many contacts locally and can arrange accompanied trips if you wish. Some of the best trout fishing in Europe can be found in the nearby rivers. There are two beautiful golf courses less than 30 minutes away. The golf course at Bled has one of the most beautiful backdrop views of the mountains anywhere in the world.

Huis / appartement in Trata was erg mooi, geweldige locatie, meer centraal gelegen, 40 minuten naar Ljubljana, 40 minuten naar Bled, 45 minuten naar Bohinj.
  Zeer mooi, modern, schoon huis en veel ruimte. Bezocht Bled - Lake Bled, mooi en groot zwembad / Ljubljana, prachtige Capitol City / Bohinj - Lake Bohinj, ook prima zwemmen en fantastisch om te combineren met bezoek aan Vogel Mountain voldaan snelle skiliften tot 1500-1600 meter hoog / Reservering Triglav met grote bossen / ook leuk om een aantal watervallen Zoals Savica, Soca en Savinja (er zijn nog veel meer "Slap" zoals ze genoemd worden / ook de grotten van Postonja zijn verbazingwekkend en gemakkelijk te combineren met Kasteel Predjama en ook een bezoek aan de kust te bezoeken is mooi en mogelijk vanaf hier / Vergeet Op een berg pases bezoeken, Zoals Vrsic, groot 60 haarspeldbochten! en Vintgar Gorje in de buurt van Bled, mooi sterven is - Skofja Loka / Kranj ook leuk ==== overal de Sloveense mensen zijn Gemakkelijk gaan en makkelijk om contact te maken met == heel erg vriendelijk, we hadden geweldige tijd met 2 kinderen van 8 en 11 jaar oud .... House / apartment Trata was very nice, great location, centrally located, 40 minutes to Ljubljana, Bled to 40 minutes, 45 minutes to Bohinj.
Very nice, modern, clean house and lots of space. Visited Bled - Lake Bled, nice and large lake / Ljubljana, beautiful Capitol City / Bohinj - Lake Bohinj, also ideal for swimming and great to combine with visit to mountains with fast lifts to 1500-1600 meters / Reservation Triglav with large forests / also some nice waterfalls As Savica, Soca and Savinja (there are many other "Slap" as they are called / Postonja of the caves are amazing and easy to combine with Predjama Castle and a visit to the coast to visit is nice Mountain pass visits, such as Vrsic, large 60 hairpin bends! and Vintgar Gorje near Bled, - Skofja Loka / Kranj also fun. The Slovenian people are easy going and easy to make contact with and very friendly, we had great time with 2 children aged 8 and 11 years old .... Can not wait until next holiday in SLOVENIA

Family of 4 including two young children!

We had a great time. The apartment is astoundingly easy to find from the airport (and how many of us have struggled to get out of the car rental place to start with?!) and, once you are in, you will find an exceptionally clean and tidy place. The facilities are exactly as described and things such as the cooker are easy to use. The closest food shops are in Sencur (best to go back towards the airport but take the first available right) and Cerklje - this second one is not open on Sundays, but for big supermarkets there are loads on the outskirts of Kranj - we found Planet Tus good with a wide range of products. We took a few "essentials" (such as tea, which my wife can't be without) along with us and it proved a good move, as the shops were shut when we got there. Our two children (aged 2 and 4) had a wonderful time - Skofja Loka is nearby and they liked the bridges; Bled and Bohinj are great - we took the road train round a bit of Bled and went swimming in Bohinj - be careful of going at the weekend in the summer, as most Slovenians have the same idea. We went into Ljubljana by train from Kranj - they are quite frequent and cheap - there is a lovely park (Tivoli) in the capital with a good play park. The centre of Ljubjana is very nice and smal enough for our kids not to moan. We chose the caves in Postojna, which were about 50 mins away. It was 15 Euros per adult and most kids are about 8 Euros so it's not cheap, but our kids were young enough to be one Euro each. They loved it, especially the cave train. You have to be part of a tour but they don't stop you much so don't worry about young children playing up (but do take a jumper). We went on from there to Predjama castle which was also worth it. Our other excursion was through Kamnik up to the cable car at Velnika. The cable car takes you most of the way up. from which you can walk to the top of the plateau or, as we did, get the chair lift up (excitement again for the kids) and we then walked back down to the cable car. It's lovely. The one thing we were going to do and didn't was visit the coast. It's advertised as being an hour away but we think it's a lot further. If ours were older and/or the beaches were sandy, we might have done it - we chose Bohinj instead, which is under an hour.

A really lovely holiday home in a beautiful location.
The staff and locals (incl neighbours and villagers) really made us feel welcome and couldn't help enough.
It was an absolute joy.
