In the village of Trata close to the 23 ski runs at Krvavec Ski Resort

The apartment built in 2006 and only one of four set in the most ideal location. It has stunning views and is ideal for both summer and winter holidays.

Transfer from the airport takes 5 minutes and the ski slopes at Krvavec are only 10 minutes away. The patio area outside is spacious and looks out over open fields and receives direct sun all afternoon and evening.

The property is in Trata yet walking distance from the beautiful village of Adergas with the Velosovo convent once an important point of pilgrimage. In Adergas you will find tennis courts and the the most beautiful monuments to the Baroque in Slovenia, the Church of the Annunciation.

Cerklje a village 5 minutes away by bus or car (bus stop directly outside the apartment) is a typical rural village where most things can be found with a few busy bars especially in the ski season. Going 15 minutes in the other direction (West) from the property one will find Kranj which is Slovenia 5th biggest town with a beautiful old town centre with great mountain views.

25 minutes by car will take you to the centres of Bled and Ljubljana. A visit to both romantic locations is a must if you visit Slovenia. In less than an hour you will reach the beautiful Adriatic coast where you can stroll around the beautiful seaside town of Piran with its Venetian influences.

Ski holidays :

The apartment is an ideal base to ski locally in Krvavec or to drive around to other nearby resorts for varied skiing. Ski school, ski hire and one 2 one lessons arranged if required.

Discovering Slovenia:

The location only 5 minutes from Ljubljana Airport is virtually unbeatable if you wish to visit the most popular parts of Slovenia. Bled, Ljubljana, Austria less than 25 minutes drive. Swim in the Adriatic in less than an hour!

Walking, cycling, fishig, Golf etc :

You can walk / cycle from the doorstep directly to the mountains if you wish. We have many contacts locally and can arrange accompanied trips if you wish.

Some of the best trout fishing in Europe can be found in the nearby rivers.

There are two beautiful golf courses less than 30 minutes away. The golf course at Bled has one of the most beautiful backdrop views of the mountains anywhere in the world.

Perfect location

The apartment in Trata, literally a 5-minute drive from the airport, couldn't be better situated. It's in a small, peaceful village with gorgeous views of the mountains, but is also ideally positioned for travelling anywhere in the country. Lake Bled is only a 30-minute drive away, Ljubljana is closer, and because of Slovenia's road-building and improvement programme, we were down on the coast at Piran in a couple of hours.

The apartment itself is modern and spacious, and we really liked having our own front door and the option to cook for ourselves. Even the random DVD collection was good! We watched Cabaret, a Jack Nicholson thriller, and Moby Dick!!! Overall, thoroughly recommended, and we may well return...!

What a nice apartment in Trata !!!

We have spent 10 days in Slovenia in july this year. It is the place to be and we can recommend firmly the apartment in Trata to anyone. It is a very comfortable apartment with all facilities. It is in a small village, the people are very kind and everything is nearby. The apartment is very clean and well-maintained. We also would like to thanks George very much for the good information. George, we like you very much. Many thanks for everything. We were with 4 persons including 2 children. There is one thing we will advice the owner; place an airconditioning and the apartment get a 5 stars rate. Hope we wil visit Slovenia soon again.

Lovely apartment in beautiful location.

This apartment is perfectly situated for travel anywhere in Slovenia. Only 5 minutes from the airport, it sits with a fabulous backdrop of mountains and the chocolate box view of the village church. The apartment was very clean and spacious and would be perfect for a family. There is not much to do in the evenings which is fine if you are late back from a day trip but my Mum and I were sometimes back early so the TV would be good with satelite or cable not just the DVDs that are provided. Sometimes I would have liked to look at the BBC world news. The pizzeria at Hotemaze is lovely and the staff very friendly. We hired a small car and were able to get anywhere within an hour or so. Would highly recommend the Lipizzan stud farm and the lakes Bled and Bohinj. Ljubliana is also a must where you can just sit and people watch along the riverbank with a coffee and a traditional Slovenian cake. All in all this was a great apartment in a great location and I would definitely make a return trip.

We enjoyed our stay here in the appartment. We managed to visit different towns and drive through the mountains which were amazing.
Fairly central. Town worth visiting Stofhia Loca.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

GREAT BASE FOR TOURING

stayed here for 1 week, june/july 2010. very clean, comfortable, small appartment, in block of 4. easy to get to slovenia"s best known areas. 1hour to austrian border (klagenfurt), Owner very helpfull.

Owner's Response: Being only 5 minutes by car north of the airport with plenty of parking (but no airport noise as stated) makes it a perfect base and it has the added benefit of a bus stop outside for those not wishing to use a car. The garden in summer with great views is an added bonus. Hope you might try it in winter and sample the local skiing.
