The beautiful beach of Praia da Luz is only 5 minutes walk away as is the lovely quiet village which has supermarkets, chemist, bank, and an excellent variety of cafes, bars and restaurants. The beach is great for swimming and superb for children of all ages. It has a full selection of water sports. And Praia da Luz consistently wins a Blue Flag. Near by are the golf resorts of Boa Vista, Palmares, Parque da Florestal, all within 15 minutes drive. Day trips to watch the Dolphins, go deep sea fishing, hire boats, visit grottoes, and water theme parks, can all be booked locally. The historic town of Lagos has a marina, a huge array of great restaurants, bars, night life and clubs and it also has a Cultural Centre. Only one hour by car from Faro airport. There are two very good restaurants on the lovely complex, one offering Italian cusine, and the other catering to international tastes.
