Not a great experience!

Apartment was too far out of Rome centre....took at least 1/2 to drive back each evening. Parking very limited and had to drive around for ages before being able to park and then it was a trek back to the apartment with a baby. Area generally is dirty and untidy and graffiti is everywhere.
Apartment was reasonable although decor left a lot to be desired and was dusty as no one had rented it for months. Couldnt get tv to work or water heater, although owner did talk us through getting boiler going again but this was towards the end of the week. Also cant use cooker and washer at same time or electrics blow! Wont be going back and wouldnt recommend to anyone either. Have had much better apartments for much less but took this as a last minute option. Never again.
Owner's Response: I am aware this is a long answer but I owe it to new guests.
Mrs M. must have been really angry, to write this review 4 months after her stay in Rome. I don't think it has been a good idea for her to take the car.It would have driven anyone mad. Rome is known for its terrible traffic jams.It is unwise to think you'll find where to park your car.Bus stops are 2 min walk from home and buses may go through priority ways where private cars are not allowed to go. You reach any place by means of public transport from there, saving time and money (parking fees till 11p.m.). The neighbourhood is a quiet, family living and shopping place, and doesn't look disquieting at all.All the guests have been happy about the location.
The cleaning lady is there to hand the keys at the arrival, and guests are informed she is in charge of the cleaning. If they find the house hasn't been cleaned properly, they can tell her. They also have her portable phone number, as well as mine, for anything they may need to ask later. They actually had problems with hot water,as pressure in the boiler had dropped and a small handle had to be turned to make it rise again. Instructions mustn't have been followed properly. In the meantime we have left the full instructions book concerning the boiler,in its multilingual text,in case of need. We would of course have sent a technician, had we known before the last day that the problem still existed. I agree that staying in a house without hot water, especially with a baby, is not acceptable. But this is precisely the reason why I supposed the problem had been solved.
TV hadn't got the international channels because we were not aware the satellite tv cables on the roof had been damaged, and only national TV was available during their stay.
As for the electric power,3kw is the normal power capacity a medium-sized apartment is allowed in Italy. It's obvious (and warned in the information sheet in the apt) that if you switch on heavy electric apparatus for more than 3 KW/hr, like washing machine and dish-washer at the same time, the counter sets off. I don't need to say anything about the decor, the pictures are there to speak, as well as the words of other guests.
I'm sorry Mrs Michelle hasn't brought back a good memory about her stay at La Casa dei Gerani, as all the other guests have. On our part, the problems concentrated during her stay made us be more precise in anticipating all possible needs of information and instructions our guests may have.
