Saint-Marsal holiday house

The weather is all that stopped this having a Five rating. The first week had storms of all types including an electrical storm that took out the internet and all of the power to the villa. The instructions for getting the power back on were clear enough, but the access to the boxes that housed the switches outside the building could have had friendlier access. The owners were very helpfull and friendly. They phoned to keep us posted on the repair of the internet and with suggestions of where to go, as the Tour De France was in the area and causing major congestion.
We made the drive to Barcelona and Andorra where we had major experiences for different reasons. The Andorra trip was amazing with the scenery. It was trully brearhtaking, but on the return you realise how dark it is on mountain roads with no other lighting. Barcelona was an experience for another reason. We were victims of a new scam. A moped with a passenger, follows you in heavy traffic, and when stopped the passenger gets off of the moped and punctures your tyre, they then go off to reappear as a solo on a moped to tell you that you have a flat. They then offer to help change the wheel or call out a mechanic for you. We were in the RAC so called them for assistance, but we still had to buy new tyres, and they are not cheap in Barcelona. The scam was explained to me by the tyre fitting manager as it is quite prevelant.
The villa itself is well appointed, and the best part of each day was getting into really comfortable beds. I slept really well, and had in spite of the other problems, a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Peter and Florence were great hosts, and this is the second time I have used the villa in 6 years.
