250 Year Old Villa in a quiet village with views to the Dordogne River, 4 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Kitchen, Breakfast Room, Living and Dining Room with two fireplaces, Pool and Small Garden. The view from the terrace is sublime. Village contains two restaurants and gas and grocery stores, newsagents and mni internet cafe. Village ideally located for short day trips to Bordeaux, Arcachon beaches, Medoc peninsula, St. Emilion, Prehistoric caves, Cognac and many chateaux. Longer day trips to Spain and the Pyrenees, Carcasonne. Rentals are from Sunday to Sunday

Villa with pool in a small village in the Bordeaux wine region directly on the banks of the Dordogne River, centrally located in all directions for specialties of the region. Villa can sleep 14 but comfortably 10 in 4 bedrooms with 2 baths. Two hours drive from the Atlantic Ocean, three hours from the Pyrenees and Spain, one hour from the Bordeaux peninsula, 30 minutes from medieval village of St. Emilion, one 1/2 hour from the heart of the Dordogne with all its prehistoric caves and 3 hours from medieval walled town of Carcassone. Reenactment of the last battle of the Hundred Year War Sound and Light Show at Castillion-La Bataille. 8km from St. Foy La Grande whose Saturday market has been named one of best 100 markets in France.

Additional information about rental rates

  • On agreeing a booking, we will ask you to complete a booking form and send us a cheque for 35% down payment in order to secure the booking. This is non-refundable and you may want to take out cancellation insurance to cover this. The balance is payable not later than 30 days before your arrival date. We reserve the right to re-let the villa if the balance is not paid by this date. A deposit of Euro 100 against damage and leaving the villa in an unacceptable state is payable with the final balance. This will be returned within two weeks of your departure less any deductions due. Prices are inclusive of normal usage of electricity and water. Pool maintenance is included. Double and single duvets and pillows are provided. Bed linen and towels are provided. End of stay property cleaning is not included and guests will be expected to return a clean villa on departure. End of stay cleaning can be booked from greeting personnel for 11 euros per hour. Telephone usage fee of 15 euros included.
  • Included in the rental fee and calls exceeding this amount will be deducted from the deposit.

Two weeks relaxing in France June 2008

This house was perfect for visiting the Pessac area. We travelled to the prehistoric caves, the beaches, the castles, the local cities and the wine country. I stayed there for two relaxing weeks. It was great place to relax by the pool, walk down the river, and down to the local restaurants that had fabulous food. I highly recommend this house as a place to stay on your France adventure. The owner has lots of travel brochures ready to help you with your planning.

enjoyed the comforts of home with the ambience of france:relaxing walks along the dordogne, quaint village antique store, bakery next door and local winery short a short jot away.
the home conveniently cared for the 8 of us with private bedrooms for the adults and a large upstairs loft for the young adults.
the kitchen provided nitely meals with ease and convenience.
a must do as local castle and wineries in the area provided fun, short trips and handy location allowed us to enjoy the best of france.
