Live Steeped in History:
Plazac is a medieval village that still retains its ancient character. The church was the summer seat of the Archbishp of Perigeux and it dates from the 12th century. The house was built at the same time, and there is even evidence that the same masons worked on both structures.
We often wonder about the many many people who looked out at the same view, from the windows of our house.
The village is very friendly and you will be greated by many neighbours as you explore the town.
We love the castles and the chateaux in our area, which is know as the Perigord Noir. It is believed that there is no greater concentration of these great houses any where else in France.
Comfort:
The thick stone walls keep the house cool in the summer. Even so, there are fans for every sleeping area. The leather couches are by Roche Bobois -- a great place to take a nap. The beds are all very comfortable and the town is so quiet that city dwellers may be frightened by the silence on the first night!
The garden has several lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables and chairs, and a barbecue.
There's a wide screen Sony LCD television in the living room.
Other Activities:
Town market days, canoe trips, caves to explore, castles everywhere
