Photos and Description of this Fornalutx holiday house Quietly located with marvellous views and 2 minutes walk to village square

Hi, we are a Swedish family who own a holiday home in Fornalutx - one of the prettiest villages in Mallorca. The house is situated high up in the old part of the village - a unique location. A rural tranquility (in fact there is a donkey almost next door ...) and a marvelous view over the roof tops and the mountains. The village square only a couple of minutes' walk away. The house is not huge but light and airy with an open plan kitchen towards the living room that has an open fire place for you to enjoy during the winter. It is furnished in a mix of Mallorquin and Scandinavian design. Lots of white, grey and terracotta. However the best thing about the house is the garden - we call it our outdoor living room. Here you can watch the sunsets from the pool area, take showers and prepare your dinner in the outdoor kitchen. There is always fresh herbs for you to pick and the lemon tree is constantly carrying fruit. An olive tree gives shade during the hottest summer hours.

Nearest Train: Soller at 5 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Palma de Mallorca at 20 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 7 Kilometres
Car: recommended
10 minutes drive to Puerto Soller with its beaches, restaurants, bars and lively marina. 25 minutes drive to Cala Deia with crystal clear water and its fish restaurant 'hanging' on a cliff. 5 minutes drive to the charming town Soller. Son Termens is the closest golf course and is about 20 minutes drive towards S´Esglaieta (through the Soller tunnel). Car hire is recommended as there is no public transport to Fornalutx.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A booking deposit of 50% is payable on reservation. The remainder is payable after further instructions from us.

    Linen and towels are included. Cleaning will be charged with 25 euros per person, however with a minimum fee of 100 euros.
  • Changeover day is normally Saturday with access to the house from 3pm on arrival day and exit by 10am on departure day. If the house is not let out the week before your arrival an earlier access may be possible.

Accessability: Please note that the high location of the house makes it less suitable for elderly with walking problems. For ease with luggage, backpacks or wheeley suitcases are recommended. There is a small road that takes you almost all the way up to the height of our house and here you can also park your car. The walk to reach the house from here is about 3 minutes.
