Casa Burrito offers comfortable accommodation at a traditional hillside farmhouse set in 5 acres of land amidst Almond, Olive & Orange trees approx a one hour drive from Malaga Airport. This tranquil retreat enjoys stunning mountain views including views to the white village of Comares in one of the sunniest areas of Europe. Enjoy this charming accommodation in an unhurried corner of Andalucia! A self contained studio apartment adjoining an old Andalucian Farmhouse in the village of Romo. Why not enjoy the beautiful peace and quiet of the mountains with your private pool and picturesque views and yet you are a mere forty five minutes drive to the coast. The Casa contains a double bed with corner wardrobe and side tables. A breakfast table and chairs overlook the swimming pool and the white mountain top village of Comares. A small kitchen with hob, fridge, microwave and all utensils including toaster, kettle etc. A modern shower room and seperate WC. Laundry facilities are available.

Nearest Beach: beach at 20 Miles
Car: recommended
The coast at Torre Del Mar (40 min) has many beaches and eateries. The villages of Comares, Rio Gordo and Colmenar are all close by. Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Malaga are all worth a visit, or just drive through the mountains exploring. Velez Malaga has a large shopping centre. Many bars and restaurants are within easy reach. The Sierra Nevada is less than two hours away. El Torcal National Park and Antequerra are forty five minutes away.

A very relaxing break

Accommodation: The studio itself was small but as described in the details. The outside area was as pictured and perfect, we spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool and had everything we needed.
Hosts: Mary and Nick were extremely welcoming and very helpful and friendly throughout our stay - we couldn't have asked more of them. They also provided a generous welcome pack and are always on hand with help & advice should you need it.
Area: The area is fantastic. The casa has great views of the surrounding countryside and is only a short drive from Comares & Colmenar. It is a good location for visiting other cities, for example Ronda & Granada.
Overall: A great place away from the hustle & bustle of the coast, perfect for relaxing and forgetting about everything. We'll be going back !

The most quiet place in Andalucia

With my girlfriend we stayed one week in August 2008 and it was one of the most relaxing holidays we ever had. The Casa Burritos is a quiet place far from everything, fully equiped to spend some time far from anything. The best : the pool, the barbecue, the views and the kindness of Mary and Nick !!!!

This property was a great find....

The Studio
Studio room is quite compact but very nicely decorated, clearn and with everything you could need and a good size shower room. The studio is part of the main house which means people are always on hand if you need anything. The couple who own the house are super friendly, very helpful and provide a very generous welcome pack. They also give you all the space and privacy you need- you have your own private pool with views from the end over the mountains and ample eating/seating areas outside.

The Area
This is rural property in the mountains behind Malaga- views from the private pool are beautiful. The casa is about 20 mins from the nearest town but there is a small local bar walking distance away. You would really need to hire a car to check out the fantastic local areas and it isn't far to drive down to Marbella or east to Nerja for the day. Comares and Colmenar are the most local small towns both of which are pretty and have a couple of bar/cafes. Beach is approx 30mins, Malaga airport and town center about 40.

Generally
I would definitely recommend this property and we are hoping to go back soon; it was a truly relaxing break with the option of being a great place to explore Andalucia.
