Stunning Bay Tree Barn

xser Shropshire England
Review Submitted: September 24, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
A gathering of our relations and friends have just spent a very pleasent time in a superbly maintained and spotlessly clean renovated french barn. The accomodation and equipment are well above the normal standard, the beds are really comfortable,I can promise you will not be saying(I cannot wait to get home in our own bed)The barn is well situated for visiting coastle areas around south Brittany, allthough we just loved relaxing either around a superb pool or following the sun in other areas around the barn.
Three of our party were golfers and we played two local courses twice,Golf de L'odet and Golf de Cornouaille. Both courses were a delight to play, but our personal favourite was Cornouaille, this was a little bit tougher and made you think more as to how to play it.Once you have played it you want to play it again.(Only 1/2 hour from barn)
Lastly our hosts were fantastic, never intruding on our privacy but if we needed to know anything,so very obliging. We would love to go again, perhaps we will!!!
Owner's Response: It's good to know that our guests who played golf on two of the local courses enjoyed the experience and went back for more!.. If you're considering combining a golfing trip with a stay at Bay Tree Barn, there are another four courses less than an hour's drive away.

Beautiful

Review Submitted: September 28, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We stayed at Bay Tree Barn in August this year with our three children (7,5 and 1). After years of holidaying with small children we feel we have found the perfect place. It is beautifully furnished with oodles of room. The kids loved the swimming pool and garden. We loved the fact that it was immaculately clean and so well equipped and safe. There's loads for the family to do in the surrounding area. Graham and Andrea were perfect hosts. They were on hand if we wanted them but didn't interfere with our holiday. We've already booked to go back next summer - unfortunately they only had one week left!

Holiday for two families August 2009

alison1503 sutton in ashfield
Review Submitted: August 31, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Bay Tree Barn offers luxurious facilities in an idyllic setting. The barn has been converted to a very high specification, and every detail to make you stay trouble free has been thought of.
We found the owners extremely hospitable, having left croissants, fresh bread, milk, water, butter, preserves, and the all important french wine, at no extra cost. We were made to feel extremely welcome, the owners giving us plenty of ideas for places to visit in the area with young children.
The rooms had been set up with sleeping arrangements to our specification prior to our arrival.
The pool area is extremely well kept, and in the semi rural setting, you really feel as though you have got away from it all - a very relaxing break.
The local beach at Benodet was particualrly nice for the children, and very clean, and the local village of Lochronan is also well worth a visit.
All together an excellent holiday was had by all, but I would recommend anyone considering a stay here to go for two weeks, as we found a week was just not long enough. Wonderful setting in beautiful surroundings.
Owner's Response: Alison, her family and friends who stayed for this week are not the first guests to wish that they'd booked another week!. With many beaches along the local coastline, relaxing beside the pool or visiting local places of interest, there's something for all ages to choose from.

Ruby Wedding Anniversary

Matriarch Herefordshire
Review Submitted: July 5, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This was the most perfect holiday home to be with our family to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

We had a text message from the first to arrive saying 'it is more lovely than we ever thought! Hurry, hurry!' and that summed up everyone's feelings about the barn and its facilities.

Bay Tree Barn barn is big, spacious and beautifully appointed. Everywhere was spotless and appeared brand new (how often can that be said?) when we arrived. We filled the barn to capacity but there was plenty of room for us all.
Andrea was absolutely brilliant at answering concerns and questions that cropped up before we arrived (e.g. do we need a stair gate?) For info: no you don't - they have thought of everything. There is also a trampoline in the garden, which was a bonus for our grandchildren. There is a large grassed area for just sitting on and/or for playing games on alongside the beautiful pool which, of course, is securely fenced off. It is just idyllic.

Andrea and Graham recommended the Manoir de Moellien for our anniversary meal - 7 adults and 4 young children for a celebratory dinner on a Sunday is not always easy to find - they sent menus and discussed the celebration with the owners of the Manoir, making it seem no trouble at all, and we had a brilliant evening there.

Andrea and Graham are the most welcoming of owners and went out of their way to ensure that our holiday was quite special. I am sure they make all their 'guests' feel the same way. We felt that they were exceptionally generous in their provision of a welcoming 'pack' of food, of loo rolls and of an endless supply of towels for the swimming pool.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Bay Tree Barn to everyone - we can't imagine anyone not loving every aspect of it. It is at the end of a quiet lane, with delightful country views, and yet there is a supermarket and a boulangerie, for those breakfast croissants and pain au chocolats, only a quick car trip away. It is all so convenient!
Owner's Response: Since Bay Tree Barn opened in 2007, we've seen it's appeal grow as a holiday venue for couples, groups of friends, and is especially popular with extended family celebrations, such as the reviewer, Meryl's Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

Our positive flexible approach means that, wherever possible, we'll help you to get the most from your holiday, whether it involves making local enquiries before your arrival or assisting with things during your stay.

We look forward to seeing you!!

"Breathtaking Barn"

Dave - New Forest UK Ringwood, Hampshire. UK
Review Submitted: December 5, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
I have recently returned from a most relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday in the Bay Tree Barn.
Andrea & Graham, our hosts who live nearby, are most welcoming, friendly and helpful, making us feel totally at home from the moment we arrived.
The "Barn" has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard and offers spacious and extremely comfortable accommodation as shown on the website.
The open plan ground floor of kitchen, dining area and lounge has been designed perfectly, enabling our party of six adults and a two year old, to drift between cooking, eating and relaxing with ease.
The impressive bathrooms and charming bedrooms exceeded our high expectations, as did the whole property.
The superb heated outdoor swimming pool adds further appeal to the holiday package.
The Barn is situated in a beautiful and unspoilt area and our hosts made us aware of many cycle tracks and woodland walks near to the Barn, of which we took full advantage.
The charming city of Quimper, about a ten minute drive away, is well worth a visit, as are many of the coastal town`s in the area, especially on market day.
A must for both adults and children, is a visit to the Oceanopolis Aquarium, at Brest, about an hours drive.
We all came away from the Barn reflecting on a marvellous holiday spent in an idyllic location and a fabulous property.
We thank Andrea and Graham for the opportunity to experience their "Barn" and look forward to returning in the Spring of `09.
Owner's Response: It was lovely to read this review after Dave's recent stay at Bay Tree Barn - we believe that his family thoroughly enjoyed themselves in this part of Brittany, as they have indeed booked another holiday here in Spring '09.
