Notes: Children welcome - a high chair is provided. We encourage guests to bring their own travel cot. The games room includes table tennis and table football. All bedrooms are on the ground floor, but there are one or two steps to the kitchen and sitting room, as it is an old building with great character. Sadly, therefore, it is inaccessible for wheelchairs. One house trained and well behaved dog is welcome (£5.00) per day. Wonderful walks are available direct from the cottage. A bicycle lock up is available.

pasture Cottage and Garden Room

Review Submitted: January 22, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
Our stay for a week was excellent the accomadation could not be faltered it is well maintained and very clean. The cottage is well equipped with more than enough cooking pots crockery and utensils. A small problem was quickly dealt with Carolyn and James were excellent hosts. The area was known to me from my childhood and it was wonderful to revisit places and rediscover what a beautiful part of the world it is. We are certainly keen to stay at the cottage again with my grandchildren this time. I would like to add that we stayed with 3 people with Learning Disabilities and they couldnt have been made more welcome and the cottage was certainly suitable for their needs but would add that they are quite mobile.

My only negatives about the property would be the fact that ther is only comfy seating for 4 with a couple of wicker chairs and we were 6 adults so fought for the sofas and my partener and i slept in the garden room and it would have been nice to have something to make a coffee on a morning but we solved that by taking a travel kettle and making a tray up from the cottage.

Overall it was a wonderful week and greatly enjoyed by all and would certainly recommend it to anyone wishing to explore this beatiful part of the country with lots to see and do.
Owner's Response: James and I ask all guests to please come to us for anything extra needed in the cottage.

A Tea/Coffee tray is available directly, on request, for the Garden Room.

The two wicker chairs in the sitting room are high backed with comfortable cushions and are particularly suitable for those who like a firmer seat. I do admit the sofas are extremely comfortable and I can understand why the 6 adults all wanted to sink into them. The two sofas can seat 'cosily' a family of six between them. We have the same sofa in our sittiing room!
