There are several large outdoor pools, one of which has a shallow walk-in end for children and a heated 25 metre indoor pool. Set in a quiet and peaceful conservation area, close to beaches, golf courses and all the main family attractions, making it an ideal holiday rental location. The cosmopolitan city of Palma with its wonderful Cathedral and shops is a 15 minute drive, and the stylish marina at Portals with its luxury super yachts, fabulous restaurants and designer boutiques is only 10 minutes away. Further afield, Mallorca offers unrivalled excursion opportunities to suit all tastes.

Santa Ponsa is one of the most sought after locations, situated between the Cathedral city of Palma and the traditional port of Andratx. Nearby to the apartment are golf, scuba diving, tennis, go-carting, cycling, walking and sailing. Nearby family excursions include Marineland, Western Water Park, Pirates Adventure, Aqualand and even bowling at Festival Park just north of Palma. Dining out is a pleasure with styles to suit all tastes and budgets at a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Within reason, we offer a flexible changeover day, please enquire if your dates do not match our stated terms. We welcome enquiries from families who may wish to book the apartment for longer periods and we generally offer a discount for additional nights in excess of 2 weeks, please refer to our Rates page for more details. However, we reserve the right not to accept bookings for additional nights during peak holiday periods where this may conflict with our normal booking pattern. If your dates are awkward, please ask us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Notes to the rental rates

Rates quoted are for up to 4 people and one infant for whom we provide a travel cot and linen. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full amount is required to confirm a booking. No booking can be confirmed until a deposit has been received. The final balance will be due 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. All payments are to be made by direct bank transfer, details will be provided at the time of booking. Payment is not deemed made until funds have cleared into our account. In the event that booking is made within 8 weeks of the holiday commencing, the full amount due will be payable at the time of booking. Please enquire about our cancellation policy at the time of booking.

A refundable Damage & Security deposit of £200, payable in addition to the final balance, is required for each booking. This deposit (or the balance of it after deductions) will be returned by cheque directly to you within 21 days of vacating the apartment providing that the keys are returned & our agents confirm that there is no damage to the apartment & no excess cleaning was required. Please note that the BBQ should be cleaned by you and left ready for the next occupants. A charge of £30 for cleaning will be incurred if the BBQ grill is left in a poor state of cleanliness.

Detailed directions will be forwarded to you prior to your arrival. Upon arrival, you will be met at the apartment to be given the keys and receive a short familiarisation to demonstrate the particular features of the property. Your apartment will have been fully cleaned & prepared ready for your arrival with fresh bed linen & towels. A mid-holiday clean and linen change can be arranged but will incur an extra cost, except for bookings of 10 days or more, when this service is complimentary. A welcome pack or any other shopping can also be arranged at extra cost and depending upon availability. Please ask for further details of these additional services at the time of booking.

| Notes: | We have furnished our apartment as our second home and the quality of the furnishings are reflected in this. The lounge comprises leather sofas, a Plasma TV, satellite, DVD player, iPod docking speakers, dining area with table and 6 chairs. The outdoor furniture includes a dining table and six chairs, two sun loungers with cushions and 4 patio chairs. The community offers a safe environment for children and is gated with 24hr security, accessed through electric gates with communal parking spaces outside the apartment. The apartment has its own private garden with hedges for added privacy. Bed linen and towels are provided. Additional sun loungers are provided around the swimming pools and gardens, we do not supply beach towels. A travel cot and high chair can be provided if necessary. A mid-holiday clean and welcome pack or any shopping required (within reason) can be arranged at extra cost. Please ask for details. The apartment is strictly non smoking. Pets are not accepted. |
Useful Information
The apartment is located close to all the amenities you will need. Santa Ponsa is a 3 minute drive away and has several supermarkets, shops, and restaurants. An English doctor is also available in Santa Ponsa as is a dentist. There is an English supermarket and butcher in Portals, a 10 minute drive away and a covered shopping mall about 15min drive away, details of which are all in the Welcome Book. Car hire is recommended. The closest Golf course is about 3 min drive towards Santa Ponsa and the busy resort of Palma Nova/ Magaluf with its abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment are a short drive in the other direction. Santa Ponsa has its own white sandy beach and marina and a 2 minute drive away is the lovely Puerto Adriano with its marina, adjacent beach and numerous restaurants and cafes. Families with children are made to feel very welcome in most restaurants in the area and most offer a children's menu.
Getting Around
The apartment is approximately 25 minutes drive from Palma Airport on a motorway which makes getting to the apartment quick and easy. EasyJet, BMI Baby, Jet2 and Thomson Airways (from Bournemouth) all offer regular flights from the UK. Car hire is easily available at the airport, or we can recommend a local hire car company if preferred. Booster and child seats are available from most companies at no extra charge. Taxis are also available from the airport and locally in Santa Ponsa and are inexpensive and reliable. A bus stop is located near to the apartment with a regular service to Palma and Santa Ponsa.
Golf Information:
Mallorca is a golfers paradise and there are currently 14 courses around the island. Santa Ponsa has two Championship golf courses, both of which have staged the Balearic Open. As a visitor, you can only play on Santa Ponsa 1, the other two courses being reserved exclusively for shareholders. Santa Ponsa 1 is a par-72 course at 6,106m. Green fees are expensive, as they are throughout Mallorca, and a round will cost approximately €70. Golf buggies, clubs and golf trolleys are all available to hire and there are full club house facilities in which to relax and unwind after your round. For those who wish to venture further afield, Mallorca is littered with golf courses, the closest being Poniente 1, a five minute drive away. It is a demanding course and is a challenge to players of all handicaps.
