Apartment in Burgau

We stayed at this apartment from 13th July 2009 for twelve nights, We were met at the property as soon as we arrived in Burgau and given the keys and useful information about the apartment etc, The apartment was very clean and tidy with lovely furniture and was well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay, the owner had even put first class stamps in a drawer. There was also water in the fridge and a welcome tray including bread, butter and jam etc. The balcony was also well furnished with a dining table and chairs, two easy chairs and there were two sun beds in the apartment if required. We ate breakfast on the balcony every morning which was very peaceful. The roof terrace is also fantastic to watch the sun go down - we took two chairs and a bottle of wine up there - lovely! There is also a locked underground parking space with this apartment which was fantastic as it kept the hire car safe and the car was nice and cool when we did use it.
We have been to Burgau for the past three years now and have fallen in love with it. The beach at Burgau is good but there are lots of surrounding beaches to visit as well which are brilliant - our favourites were Carrapateria [which is just like Cornwall with its rugged coves, Figuero [the walk through the green hills is about 15 minutes to get to the beach but is lovely], Saleema [there are shops and plenty of facilites] and Cabana [nice restaurant at this beach]. We also did the coastal walk to Luz which took about 1 hour 20 minutes and had stunning views.
Our favourite restaurants are The Beach Bar and The Ancora although there is lots of choice for different tastes but we would recommend booking as they do get busy.
We used Budgens supermarket which had everything you needed at a reasonable price and sold fresh fish every day. We also used the shop in Burgau which was very handy,
We would definitely recommend this apartment, The owner has put a lot of thought into making guests very comfortable and we certainly hope to return.
