A charming and comfortable five bedroom villa located in the seaside community of El Harhoura just 10 minutes south of the Imperial city of Rabat, the capital of Morocco. A generous Moroccan breakfast is served, with lunch and dinner available upon request. Relax on the roof top terrace, the garden patios, or Moroccan salons. Since Villa Bourdoud is only steps to the Atlantic ocean, you can go for daily walks along the seaside or around the community, which has one of the most environmentally clean climates in Morocco. Rabat is a picturesque capital city on the Atlantic coast and is one of Morocco's five Imperial cities. It has a welcoming mixture of ancient and modern Moroccan lifestyles and is a pleasant introduction to your Moroccan travels. You can explore such historic sites as the Medina, the Oudaias, Chellah, the Hassan Tower. Less than an hour's drive away is the world famous city of Casablanca.

Notes: Villa Bourdoud welcomes people of all ages; however, there are a number of staircases that might be difficult for those not physically able to manage them. Smoking is permitted outside in the garden and on the terrace, as long as it does not interfere with the enjoyment of other guests. Property has a surrounding wall and gate so is very safe for families with children. There is also a good amount of play area outdoors for children.

An oasis by the Atllantic.

I have stayed at the Villa Bourdoud many times, and have always had a wonderful experience.
The location, close to the ocean and 10 minutes from Rabat, provides opportunities for rest and relaxation, and easy access to the sights and excitement of Morocco's capital city.
The staff always provide a warm welcome, and they are great cooks!
The roof top patio is a joy, and the bedrooms and salon are beautifully decorated and comfortable.
This villa has become my home away from home,

to cold in February

We came there middle of the night by rental car. Nice and friendly people. Very helpful. Excellent Moroccan breakfast (always the same) and good dinner. Clean, big room. Nice seaview from the roof. Beautyful seashore. Furniture of the room was very basic. I.e. no chairs, no wardrobe in our room. Only one bathroom for each floor. We had problems with hot water and heating. We where there in early February: sunny days, but humid and cold nights. There was only a small noisy electric fan heater in our room: But this is generally a problem in Morocco in wintertime. Most of the houses do not have central heating. For showers we could use the bathroom downstairs, which was no problem, because we have been the only guests during this time of the year. I'm wondering when they start to use solar heating in winter time. We used El Harhoura as a base and made trips to Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes.
Owner's Response: Most people have stayed at our home in the warmer months, so we really appreciate your comments. We've now put in more efficient (and quieter!) heaters not only in the bedrooms but also in the salon. We've also started to get quotes for solar water heating - which would not only solve the hot water situation, but would be much more ecological.

A Great B&B in Rabat

The property was tastefully decorated - Moroccan style, very clean, and well-maintained. The owner was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The breakfasts provided enough variety, as well as quantity to suit any hungry traveller. Coffee was delicious!!! We also had a couple of dinners here and they were absolutely delicious and reflected the local cuisine. The ocean view from the rooftop sitting area and from the double-bed bedroom was fantastic! The home is situated in a quiet residential area, very close to fantastic local Moroccan restaurants, a short walk to the ocean, and a short taxi ride to the city centre. We went for walks in the evening in the neighbourhood and always felt safe and secure.
The B&B quickly became my home away from home.
Rabat, in itself, is a facinating place to visit. I hope someday to return!
