In the heart of Tremezzo, with everything just around the corner

Amazing garden with spectacular views! The apartment has a great location right by the lake shore, in the heart of Tremezzo.

The apartment sleeps up to six persons. 95 sq.m. with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room with kitchen, and lounge/bedroom separated with lamellae curtains. From the living room there is direct access to a big private terrace and garden. Relax in the sunny garden with beautiful views of Lake Como and Bellagio.

The apartment is unique with old charm, but with high standard and modern comfort such as dishwasher, washing machine, wireless internet and TV.  

Everything just around the corner. Bus stop and ferry dock. Restaurants and cafés, pharmacy, post office, bank, news-agent, beauty treatments, local specialities and wine shop. You really don’t need a car (but if you have one you can park it in the garage). Rent a boat and enjoy the magnificent villas of Lake Como up close, go for a swim wherever you want.

Lake Como is ideally located close to Milan, the alps and Switzerland. Tremezzo has been a sought after destination for a long time. Guiseppe Verdi and Queen Victoria of England were some of many celebrities spending their holidays in Tremezzo.

In Tremezzo you can find many restaurants and cafés, a winebar, a park, a pharmacy, shops and two ferry docks. One of Lake Como’s greatest attractions, Villa Carlotta, is in Tremezzo. The building is from 1690 and has tremendous wall- and roof paintings. Not to forget a great symmetrical botanical garden with over 500 species.

Just opposite Tremezzo is Bellagio, said to be one of Europe’s most beautiful towns. Take the ferry from Tremezzo, see Villa Melzi, walk around in narrow alleys and stairs. Or just relax in one of the many cafés and restaurants.

Catch a boat, bus or use just over an hour cycling from Tremezzo to Como, a typical Italian town with narrow alleys, old buildings, churches and shopping.

Restaurants:

Tremezzo offers several nice restaurants within a couple of hundred meters from the apartment. Pizza at El Timon, pasta and salads at Red&White or Helvetia ,or traditional Lake fish at La Darsena can all be recommended. There is also a very nice wine bar and cellar, Cantina Follie, in the streets behind the apartment serving excellent wine, and plates with meat and cheeses.

Swimming:

You can go swimming just across the road from the apartment, or go the park. If you prefer beach clubs, try Lido di Menaggio, Lido di Lenno or Lido di Cadenabbia. Relax further with spa treatments at nearby La dolce Acqua.

Villa Carlotta:

One of Lake Como’s greatest attractions, Villa Carlotta, is in Tremezzo (only 400 meters from the apartment). The building is from 1690 and has tremendous wall- and roof paintings. Not to forget a great symmetric botanical garden with over 500 species.

Physical activities:

The mountains around Lake Como offer great hiking opportunities. Monte di Tremezzo just behind the house is 1700 meters high.

Lake Como is fantastic for road cycling. You can cycle as far as you can around the lake, then take the ferry back home. If you want more hills and climbs, you can for example cycle the legendary Madonna di Ghisallo, well known from the autumn’s most important cycle race, Giro di Lombardia.

Ski:

St. Moritz is around a 2 hours drive from Tremezzo. Madesimo is around 55 km from Tremezzo. A day pass costs around €35. The ski season in Italy opens every year on the 8th of December. The public holiday of St Ambrogio.

Golf:

There are many great golf courses in the area. Menaggio & Cadenabbio Golf Club, Circolo Golf Villa D’Este, Lanzo Golf Club and Golf Club Monticello. All are situated in the Como area.

Wonderful apartment in great location with beautiful view over lake.

Luxury retreat in classy como

The location of this newly renovated apartment (high quality amendities such as brand new shower, washing machine, dish washer,etc) is a perfect base for the activities that Como has to offer. Fronting the lake one can admire the beautiful view for hours after having hiked in the mountain just behind or spent time on the lake on a hired boat. The bar just below offers excellent coffee and one does not have to walk many metres to the local restaurants with delicious Italian food. The apartment is spacious and of very high standards with clean surfaces and suitable furniture both indoor and on the terrace. Highly recommendable, many thanks to the owners for a memorable stay!

Sight seeing and relaxation

Just returned from a wonderful weeks stay. The apartment is absolutely beautiful, so well equiped with everything you could need. There was 5 adults staying and the apartment provided enough space for us. The garden has the most wonderful view over the lake, and the weather was fantastic. 3 of the adults were there for sight seeing where as 2 of us for relaxation. The 2 of us relaxing used our time swimming in the pool at menaggio and in the surrounding lake areas. The 3 sight seeing visited como, bellagio, lenno and lots more and each was great. I would certainly reccommend anyone to stay here.

60th birthday couldn't have been better

We went to Lake Como for my husbands 60th birthday and it couldnt have been better, this is a place that is more beatiful than you could ever imagine.
the apartment is so lovely with amazing views and equipped with all you will need for your stay.
The information provided by Elizabeth both before and during our stay was fantastic it made everything so easy for us, we did plenty of boat trips, saw the Villa from the James Bond movie Casino Royale also George Clooneys villa and and even drove to Switzerland for the day .
Tremezzo has lots to offer too with plenty of bars and restaurants and fabulous views.
Cant wait for the return trip !
