Photos and Description of this Fayence holiday villa Stone house near the medieval village of Montauroux not far from lake and sea

The house is situated on a hillside just east of the medieval village of Montauroux with a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains. To get to the house you pass the Chateau Christian Dior and drive in the direction of Grasse, the old perfume town. The area is quiet and very beautiful, you are in the charming Provence. As you enter the property through the large gate, you immediately feel how you have been transported into another world. The garden encloses the house and pool and offers views in all directions; it is very peaceful. The house although it appears old has been built within the last fifteen years. It is charming but also very practical. It has several terraces, a small court yard next to the kitchen with a built-in BBQ and pizza oven. There is a covered terrace in front of the house and the pool is just below the house. Perfectly situated apart from the house but you can see it from the house and keep an eye on the children.

Enjoy a holiday in Montauroux only 10 min drive from the beautiful village of Fayence. The large lake Lac St. Cassian is only 5 min drive away. Here you can rent paddleboats and canoes and it is a perfect place for swimming. The beaches of Cannes and St. Rapahel are only 20 -30 min drive away or if you want to do some great shopping try Rue d'Antibes in Cannes or the small stores of St. Tropez which is one and a half hours drive from Montauroux. Nice and its old village is only one hours drive and if you want to mingle with the rich and famous then drive to Monaco within 80 min. If you prefer the mountains, then there is the Gorge de Verdon one hour north of us and only 20 min drive will take your through a smaller gorge and up to the charming mountain village of Mons.If you are a golfer, then you can reach at least ten good courses within an hours drive. One of the most famous courses the Terre Blace resort is only 10 minutes away. Here you find the Fours Seasons Hotel with its spa.

On ground level you find also a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This is a spacious room with access to garden. A slightly smaller bedroom with double bed and en-suite shower room. Bedroom with two single beds and en-suite shower room. This room is very charming and decorated for the visiting children but beds are suitable for adults as well. Separate toilet.

Fully equipped with fridge, microwave, oven, stove and dishwasher. Large outdoor courtyard with BBQ and pizza oven. Two bedrooms with queen size beds and en-suite shower room. Separate toilet. Master bedroom on first floor with king size bed and en-suite bath and shower room and a large balcony. 5x12 m chlorine pool, with a small pool house for shade. Laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Property enclosed and locked with gate.

The village : The area just west of Cannes is part of the true Provence. You will find the small old villages with their narrow streets and the local markets romantic and charming. Each village has its own charm with the town square as the centre of the village. In Montauroux we have a weekly market and in Fayence only 10 min away you have market three times a week. The markets are always an event. This is where people meet and you will find all the local specialities. In the village you will find the cafés, which are a very important part of life in the South of France. This is where you stop for a cup of coffe or a glass of chilled rose. On Sundays you can watch the old men play Petang or boule.

Restaurants: There are many small restaurants which offer the local specialities and all have good food. Then we have more upscale restaurants and finally we have three restaurants in the area that have won a star in the Michellin guide. You can find a small restaurant that is ideal for the family and who welcomes children or if you prefer there are the elegant restaurants. To day it is also possible to find ethnic restaurants like Thai and Mexican. The coast is so close that it would be easy to go there for a nice meal but you actually don't need to we can offer everything right in this area.
