My husband and I had the responsibility of finding accommodation in Barbados for a group of 6 family and friends, of varying ages, ranging from 40yrs – 75yrs. Having been to Barbados before we needed to find a place that would be suitable for all the differing needs. We spotted Cane House on the HomeAway website and decided it was exactly what we was looking for.
Prior to booking I contacted Roger the owner, a couple of times, to clarify any issues or questions. Roger was approachable, happy to chat and most helpful. Having spoken to him we was sure that Cane House was the place for us.
We stayed at Cane House from 26/12/11- 16/01 /12. Prior to departure we received an information pack and directions to Cane House. We arranged a welcome pack so that we were set up with the essentials for our arrival. We collected our hire car from the airport and headed straight to Cane House- this took approximately 45minutes, the directions were easy to follow and Cane House was easily found.
On arrival at Cane House we was overwhelmed and delighted as the house exceeded our expectations. The house sits on large plot of land, no immediate neighbours, with views of the sea and the surrounding neighbourhood
We found Cane House spacious and easily accommodated six people. The bedrooms are large, huge comfy beds, air con and en-site bathrooms. Plenty of room downstairs, dining room, 2 separate sitting areas and a good size, well equipped kitchen. Cane House is not like the usual, soulless, functional, run of the mill rental accommodation; in our opinion it is home from home, it is quality, tastefully furnished with all the facilities that you could wish for. The electrical appliances are good quality, easy to use and made our holiday a lot easier.
We made full use of excellent spacious outdoor area. There are plenty of sunloungers, outdoor seating and the large swimming pool is fantastic.
During our stay we were well looked after by Peter, Lesley Ann,and the regular visits by the gardener and pool cleaner who all kept the place spotless for our stay.I could not write this review without mentioning the regular morning visits from the troop of local monkeys. Totally harmless, very amusing and we felt privileged to be able to watch their antics in their natural environment. We all thoroughly enjoyed staying at Cane House and would highly recommend the house to others. Cane House is very special and we hope to stay there again very soon.
