Christmas and New Year dates remain available - book now for a superb late season break! If you have ever imagined being able to sit outside in shirt sleeves, in sunshine on Christmas Day, this is your chance. The salt water pool is 10x5 meters,150 sq m of sun terrace means space to relax! The main house sleeps eight in four double rooms and has three bathrooms. All bedrooms have shutters, fly screens and a/c. Entertaining? the main kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher. Seating 10, the lounge has Sky TV available. The flat can accommodate up to four additional persons, it provides a double bedroom, a bed sitting room, kitchen & wet room and is ideal for wheelchair users with a wide easy path up to the pool area and main house. The house has fantastic unobstructed views across the valley and to the sea. If you are looking for somewhere to escape the crowds - this is it.

    Arrival and departure:

    'Carpe Diem' will be available from 14:00 on the day of arrival but depending upon circumstances may be available earlier. Please check with us should you need to gain early entry.

    The property must be vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure. It may be possible to depart later than that, please check with us should you wish to leave later on the day of departure. Please arrange with our local agent to have it checked for damages so that your deposit cheque can be returned. See below.

Notes: For music fans, we have provided a compact speaker system to share your MP3's in the lounge. We also have a portable CD/radio in the dining area. Washing machine - the washing machine is located in the kitchen of the flat on the lower ground floor. There are free standing clothes drying racks which we find work well if used in the garage area. Additionally in the garage area there is a pull out washing line. The great news is that washing dries very quickly - it can take as little as twenty minutes to dry!

Terms and Conditions: Letting Period Carpe Diem will be let for periods of not less than one week unless otherwise agreed. Availability is from 14:00 on the day of arrival, you must vacate by 10:00 on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed by us. Booking Deposit The deposit is the initial payment to secure a booking. 30% of the total booking price should be paid provided more than 56 days remain before the beginning of the holiday. Balance The balance,the letting cost minus any deposit received is to be paid at least 56 days before the first day of the holiday. If booking 56 days or less before the first day of the holiday the full price must be paid. Procedure Complete booking form and return with deposit cheque Receive booking confirmation Receive Balance Reminder 56+ days before the balance is due Pay the balance plus damage deposit amount (n.b. you can request to have damage deposit held by local agent) Receive directions to Carpe Diem and contact information

Payment & Amendments: Payment can be made by cheque, bankers draft or by BACS transfer in either Sterling or Euros. Cheque together with completed booking form to: Andy Renals, 26 Bowden Road, Bristol BS5 7AU. Amendments - If one of your party is unable to travel you may transfer the place to another person provided that you notify us in writing (email is sufficient) of the details of the change and confirm that the replacement person has also read and agreed these terms and conditions.Additional persons may be accepted as long as the total numbers do not exceed the capacity of Carpe Diem. The preceding paragraph must be complied with and the per-person additional charge must be paid at the time of notification. You do not need to notify us in advance if fewer persons are going to travel then booked on the form.Changes to the dates of your holiday may be accepted after the booking has been agreed. In such circumstances the holiday charge will not be less than that originally booked. An admin fee €50 applies

Cancellation : By You - Unless otherwise agreed by us the deposit and/or the balance is not refundable. You should ensure that you have adequate holiday insurance to protect against unlikely events that may prevent you from traveling. In the event that a cancellation by you can be re-booked a refund will be made. This will be a part payment and possibly a full refund less our administrative charge of €50.00. By Us - If we cancel your holiday because of a breach by you of our terms and conditions then no refund will be made. If Carpe Diem becomes unavailable an alternative will be offered if possible. Should you not accept this accommodation then a full refund will be made.

Accommodation for disabled guests

Being a high lesion tetraplegic and not having had a holiday abroad for over 15 years I was pleased to be able to take up an offer of a holiday at Villa Carpe Diem. Initially, I was anxious that the apartment I would be using below the main house would be suitable for my needs. However, the owner Andy put my mind at ease before flying. Similarly, he was able to help with my travel and car hire arrangements. Additionally, he was able to arrange for a shower chair and electric hoist for my week’s holiday. The house is set on the top of a slight hill overlooking the village of Maroni with lovely views of fields surrounding it and views of the sea in the distance and very much far from the madding crowd, which gives you the opportunity of a totally peaceful and relaxing time. The main house has three bedrooms a dining room and lounge with a superb south-facing terrace which also boasts shaded areas. The terrace overlooks the swimming pool, which is the icing on the cake so to speak of the house. Having not been swimming for over 20 years it was therefore a sheer pleasure to be able to cool off in the pool on four occasions. The apartment below the main house has a double bedroom and next to this is a further bedroom with a single bed along with a bed settee. Thereby enabling three or possibly four people to stay in the apartment. There is also a small fully equipped kitchen, which was suitable for our needs as most of our meals were spent eating in the main house or in cafes and restaurants sampling the superb Mediterranean food on offer on the Island. The bathroom of the apartment not only boasts a bath it also has a wheel in shower so all in all most people’s needs should be able to be catered for. A car is a must while using the house for the apartment and in turn Andy is able to arrange car hire and should you need it the hire of a wheelchair accessible vehicle. With the apartment being below the main house there is are somewhat steep slope more commonly known as the “Yellow Brick Road” that leads up to the main house. However, for someone taking there own PA/carer or someone who has better use of their arms the slope should cause no problems. I had an absolutely superb time and in turn managed to see much of Cyprus being as we ventured out most days in the car. My only regret being that I did not stay for another week. Should you or your family therefore be looking for a house with a heart in the sun then look no further than Villa Carpe Diem.

Fantastic holiday at Villa Carpe Diem

Myself and my husband would like to thank Andy for providing such wonderful accomodation at Villa Carpe Diem. We can honestly say we have had one of the best holidays in Cyprus this year. Me and my husband are cypriot and our parents were born in Cyprus, so we have grown up visiting Cyprus nearly every summer and staying with family all over the island. In the last few years we have been staying in hotels around the island and mainly in Larnaca as my sister lives there, but we will never look back on hotel holidays again.

Staying in the villa gave us the flexibility to visit family, go sight seeing and then returning to somewhere that felt like home for 2 weeks. The villa is so very well equipment and beautifully decorated. We had some great late night bbq's by the pool and also had my sister stay with us with her two young boys, who loved being in the pool all day and night!!

We would definately consider staying at Villa Carpe Diem again as we also really liked Maroni and it's neighbouring villages of Kiti and Zygi, which does the best fish!!

We must also give a mention to Graham and Mary who maintain the villa as they are such lovely people, who were very friendly during our stay. It was also reassuring knowing they were down the road, should we have had a problems.

You will find it very hard indeed, to go back to your normal life after a week in this villa.

The place is so quiet, the ambient is peacefull the views are magneficent it made it one of our best holidays.

Holiday Review of Villa Carpe Diem

This is a fantastic, perfect retreat for a large family or more than one family or a group of friends to spend time together.

The villa is absolutely lovely and accommodates the larger group perfectly with plenty of seating and dining areas both inside and out and enough showers/bath for all, you really do feel at home here. A fantastically well equipped kitchen upstairs with fridge/freezer and a further smaller kitchen with a larder fridge downstairs. A modern villa with a contemporary outlook including some Sky channels and an iPod station, which is refreshing for a rental property. The property does have balconies and fantastic views all around and of the sea albeit that the sea is not really a walkable distance it can be reached by moped/car in about 5 minutes. The bonus of this of course is that it is quiet, no noisy pubs/clubs right next door although you would really need to hire a car as you are not on a public transport route. This does means that if you have children yourselves of course or even if not you need not worry that you are making too much noise. The pool with the villa was brilliant and the added bonus of not having to secure a sunbed in the morning with towel is fantastic! (there are plenty of them at the villa!) and you can also go in the pool late into the evening during the summer months as it is plenty warm enough and well lit. Plenty of tables and chairs outside and plenty of lighting to be able to sit outside late into the evening and chat with friends/family. It also provides good accommodation downstairs with a wet room.

The information provided and customer service and support given by the owner and staff was excellent and any queries and emails were answered immediately. Information on how to find the property was excellent and in the villa itself there was plenty of information of places to go and things to do.

If you are looking for late nights clubbing and 18-30 style holiday this is definitely not for you as the distance from the main towns is too far. This is however perfect and more than comfortable for a large family get together which cannot be accomodated under normal circumstances, with fantastic scenery and a pool a bonus.

Intentional or not the owner has provided a marvellous villa in which you immediately feel very much at home. We all had a fantasic holiday here and have some lovely memories to last a lifetime. I would certainly recommend this villa to others.

We had the perfect holiday at Carpe Diem; the accommodation was superb with the most fantastic swimming pool all to ourselves. The villa was spacious, clean and fully equipped. The kitchen had everything you could want for any cooking you may want to do there, although there were lots of excellent local restaurants nearby -notably Father Gregorios, with traditional well cooked reasonably priced food. There were also many good fish restaurants. It was difficult to know whether to eat out or buy the excellent fruit and vegetables that were freshly picked from the nearby farm. The local baklava and honey drenched cakes were irresistible.
The out of village location meant a car was necessary to travel around, but it also meant it was quiet. There is plenty to see around and about we particularly enjoyed Larnanca. The local beaches are not the best in Cyprus but the pool was so fantastic that you didn't want to swim in the sea, and the pool was big enough for a proper swim .We loved watching the Bee eaters every afternoon whilst floating in the pool, and then the sun setting over the sea whilst enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony.
The owner made sure everything was set up for us and the local contact, who looked after the villa and pool was a useful source of information. We had a totally relaxing holiday and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a real Cyprus holiday away from the usual tourist spots.
