Situated 900 m from Heviz spa, the largest natural medicinal thermal lake in the world and just 5 km from lake Balaton, the largest fresh water lake in Europe. Egregy with it's preserved village atmosphere is a brisk walk away. The vineyards, wine cellars and restaurants offer traditional Hungarian cuisine and local wines. The 13th century church should not be missed. In the nearby 'Gyongyosi Csarda' restaurant you can enjoy a traditional dinner with music and legendary stories of the 'Hungarian Robin Hood'. In the surrounding area are the Balaton Uplands National Park, Little Balaton with it's rich bird life, Cave and Lake in Tapolca. Local sightseeing attractions are the Keszthely castle and museum. In the courtyard of Sumeg castle knightly tournaments are held with medieval banquets in the evenings. Balaton offers many sporting activities including swimming, wind-surfing, water skiing, sailing, fishing and sun-bathing on it's beaches. Horse riding and paragliding are also popular.

Some beatyful days in Heviz

... we decided to make some wellnes days in Heviz, so we looked for a fine apartment for a few days. We found the perfekt Place in this House. Very quiet, perfekt inside, near to centrum, very clean, and all the people friendly.....
In a distamce of 15km you have the Kehida Thermal. http://www.kehidatermal.hu/?lang=de&page=
A very good restaurant was the pizzeria on the first roundabound. You´ll get perfekt pizza´s, traditional hungarian and international food for very fortunate prices.
We´ll be back sure! Thank´s to the owner clara for the perfekt customer service..... "See" you again sure!!

great rental in heviz

This was an excellent apartment in the spa town of Heviz. The owners were very nice, helpful and accommodating. The apartment was beautiful and had everything you could want. The shower upstairs was a treat, large and wonderful with multiple shower options. Be sure to try the restaurants down on the corner, both were great. The Pizza place had the most attractive salads I have ever encountered and tasty too. The spa in Heviz was a interesting way to spend a morning. The beaches at Lake Balaton were a great way to cool off on a warm day. We had a great week at this super apartment in Hungary and hope to return again. Budapest is a mere two hours away via mostly super highway. We had a great outing to see Budapest and walk our feet off.

Our week in Heviz was made all the more enjoyable by the lovely apartment that we rented. It was modern, clean, well maintained, loads of amenities and was close to everything. The landlords were very helpful and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Heviz. There were four in our party, but the apartment can accomodate up to six comfortably. I plan to stay there again in the near future.
