The apartment is located in the centre of Carvoeiro which was and still is a charming fishing village that has expanded without losing its charm to include modern amenities that today look to the international visitor - bars, restaurants, the square in front of the beach, shops, etc..
From the apartment you can walk down to the square and on to the beach of Carvoeiro. But this isn't the only beach you will find close by, the rocky coastline has many attractive small beaches nearby. The Praia da Marinha, for instance, was listed as the top 50 in the world.
You can go aboard a boat in Benagil or Carvoeiro beach, or go to Lagos, where there is a wide variety of vessels. Some of the tourist ships in Portimão offer a lunch consisting of grilled sardines, salad and bread, on secluded beaches.
Carvoeiro is an excellent location for visiting the caves of the Algarve coast (the most beautiful of the Algarve).
