Monkswell Park dates back to the 1920s, and is described in Pevsner's Buildings of England as 'The most distinguished property tucked into the slopes overlooking Hope Cove with wings angled to create a protected terrace with veranda facing the sea.' With fabulous sea views over Lyme Bay Monkswell Park benefits from an extremely rural and quiet, picturesque clifftop location, but is only one and a half miles from Torquay town centre, and approximately twenty miles from the historic city of Exeter. There are excellent local shops and restaurants nearby, and a sandy beach within half a mile of the property. There is also 'near-private' access to a pebble beach from the one and a half acre lawned garden. The nearest railway station is Torquay although Newton Abbot is only seven miles away. The nearest airport is Exeter

It is and just half a mile from the nearest public sandy beach complete with it's own beach cafe', and there is access to a near-private pebbled beach from the one and a half acre lawned garden, though please note the steps down to the beach are steep, can be strenuous, and may be dangerous for unaccompanied children.     LOW SEASON. (October 1st to May 31st) £210.00 non-returnable deposit secures the required week and is payable upon booking. An additional £70.00 per person per week is charged and is payable 30 days prior to occupation.
    HIGH SEASON. (June1st to September 30th) £280.00 non-returnable deposit secures the required week and is payable upon booking. An additional £105.00 per person per week is charged and is payable 30 days prior to occupation.
    Low Season Short Breaks can be taken with a minimum stay of three nights if available, and will be charged at £95.00 per night.

Notes: The ground floor of The Cottage has a fully fitted kitchen complete with electric cooker and gas hob, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave cooker and ironing facilities. The lounge has a wide screen TV, DVD and Vidio players, and a sterio radio/CD player; has sea views and a french door leading to a private courtyard complete with garden furniture. The dining room has a parquet floor and again a french window leading to the same courtyard. There is also a downstairs cloakroom, utility with a washing machine, and a Payphone. The first floor has a master double bedded room with an en-suite shower room, a second twin bedded room with sea views, a twin 3' bunk-bedded room, and a family bathroom.
