The Costa Blanca has been recognised by the World Health Organisation as the healthiest area in the world. 320 days of sunshine, healthy temperate breezes in summer & protective mountains in winter. If you have not visited this area before it is almost guaranteed you will return. Moraira is a clean and typically Spanish fishing village which has grown only a little to the delightful town it is now. Numerous restaurants and bars, many with stunning views. A bustling High Street with attractive shops but larger supermarkets nearby. Walking is a pleasure with wide avenues and promenades, clifftop walks, gardens, palm park, duck pond, yacht marina and bustling harbour with it's fish market. Spectacular coastline and numerous sandy beaches, interesting towns and countryside to visit, plenty of sightseeing coach and boat trips to the surrounding areas although few, including ourselves, want to venture far! Benidorm with various theme parks plus several golf courses are only 30 mins away.

We were three families with four teenages between us, (aged 16) the villa layout was perfect for us. A walk into Moraria took around 25 mins, safe for the teenagers to go it alone. 10 mins down to the beach at Portet. Plenty of choice for eating out. The walk back is steep so those who don't like walking may want to use a car or get taxis.
The mulitple terraces at the villa were a good feature so shade could be found at any time of the day & this was needed as it was very hot. Great views, fab pool, but note no shallow end, so not good for small children. Generally very quiet when we were there but there is an empty building plot adjacent. No freezer, just an ice box in one fridge. You need to take your own laptop if you want Internet access.
Owner's Response: We take on board any suggestions and although there is a large larder fridge in the kitchen plus a small fridge.freezer in the pool kitchen another large fridge/freezer has been installed. We provide broadband, wireless router and low cost telephone calls to the UK. Only the last 100m is fairly steep. We definitely recommend a car in the summer months. The whole area is all ups and downs but a lovely walk for all that.

We found that this was a lovely, homely spacious villa with very tasteful decor. All rooms were immaculately clean, as was the pool and surround. I would recommend this property without any hesitation to family and friends.

Disappointed

Having recently returned from two fairly enjoyable weeks in Villa Fleur, we were however, quite disappointed with some of the facilities: We were four (related) married couples, plus the mother in law; unfortunately the villa (although nice) just isn't equipped to accommodate such a large group and here's why: The reception rooms are relatively small, there being only seating for five in the lounge. The kitchen is a very small (8ft x 3ft) galley design which was poorly equipped; there being only one baking tray and a mixture of odd pots, pans and crockery, making cooking for a large group difficult. The BBQ area is located to the rear of the villa resulting in a feeling of isolation from the main social areas. The pool is too small when the villa is fully occupied, hindered further by the limited sunbathing space, lack of parasols for shade and tired and worn out sun beds. Throughout the two weeks there was no linen change or cleaning services - our mistake though for assuming that was included!
I must however, mention the on site representatives; Adam and Jo. On the one occasion that we required assistance, their response was swift, effective and extremely professional - a very friendly and charming couple. Overall verdict – a good villa for smaller groups.
Owner's Response: The main lounge (one of three) has french doors to the BBQ terrace, hardly isolated. The kitchen is 11ft x 7ft with another on the next floor and well equipped ie matching china for 20 covers. The good quality sunbeds do probably need a pressure wash/review but are renewed every 2-3 years. Guests are offered a mid let clean and linen change at a modest on-cost. We hope other reviews and photos will speak for themselves but will always try to rectify genuine criticisms. These guests were unfortunate to experience a wasp nest, quickly eradicated, but hoped for a substantial refund.

Great Holiday

Great Holiday, myself & my wife took all the family & we really enjoyed the Villa, it was great to get up in the morning & take the children swimming in the pool,everything we needed was in the Villa, also a 10 minute walk took us to the beach & bars.
Our childrens ages ranged between 8months old to 26years & we would reccomend this Villa to all excellant value, we will book for next year.

Great Holiday and Great Villa

We are 5 ladies (late 40's to mid 50's) who have been friends for 30+ years and wanted a get away from it all relaxing holiday i.e. without husbands/partners/children. We found Villa Fleur matched everything we were looking for, nice and spacious, clean and well furnished and had lots of different outside space for all day sun or shade. The pool was fantastic, so relaxing and all day sun too. The views down and across the valley were superb and the location was very peaceful. All this but still within only 10 minutes stroll down to El Portet beach where we could sit and have coffee overlooking the beach and bay and then only a further 10 minutes walk into Moraira when we either walked back or, at night after eating out, we would get a taxi back (cost between 7 and 8 euros). We split our days between morning walks, afternoons round the pool or at El Portet beach, shopping in Moraira and visiting the Friday market in Moraira. We had a car but only used it for supermarket shopping and one day exploring down the coast but couldn't wait to get back to Moraira. There is a great choice of restaurants in and around Moraira but we also had 3 or 4 evenings having BBQs at the Villa as there was everything we needed there. I would definately return to Moraira as it had such a warmth and charm about it and I would certainly recommend Villa Fleur. Thank you Christine and James, we had a thoroughly wonderful holiday in your beatiful villa.
