A beautifully decorated gatehouse, nicely situated for walks in the Black Mountains or around nearby farmland.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your useful review.
We hope you will visit again and take advantage of a repeat booking discount.
I recommend visiting the area during the 'growing season' when the local gardens are captivating.

Lovely Lodge, great location

Review Submitted: July 1, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We had a wonderful stay here at the Lodge, the friendly owner came to meet us on our first day to make sure we knew where everything was. Our 2 children (4 years old) loved the gardens and exploring the nearby lanes. The lounge was very cosy, and the kitchen well stocked. The owenrs have thoughtfully provided some books and games. The local town of Llandeilo is very pleasant with some great boutique shops. We found the cottage well situated for many day trips - the beach at Pembrey, the Black Mountain and Llynn Brianne were about 40 mins drive away, Dinefwr, Gelli Aur and Aberglasney even closer. We would definitely recommend the Lodge, and hope to be making a return visit soon.

Perfect Retreat

Review Submitted: November 1, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
A delightful, well equipped and cosy cottage. Perfectly situated to enjoy walking in the Beacons and surrounding country. As we arrived on a cold, wet evening, it was a joy to find the cottage so warm and cosy. We could, perhaps, have done with a bit more information on the actual location, as it took us some time to find the cottage. Well worth it, though!

August 2008 holiday

The cottage is an absolute delight. Very cosy and everything you require for your stay. The bread/milk etc provided on our arrival was most welcome. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The property was very clean on our arrival. Ample towels provided and a change of towlels/bed linen was provided for the second week. It was relaxing to sit out in the peaceful garden watching the red kites. The Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons are very impressive and it is only an hours drive away from coastal areas such as Cardiff and Tenby. I would recommend this cottage.

what a fabulous place

Review Submitted: June 6, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
the house was perfectly located tucked away from the road. house was very well stocked with linen and towels and very clean, the log burning stove was a great success in the evenings. our boys are 13 & 15 and really enjoyed the walks and adventures around the house and grounds.
A 40 minute drive to saundersfoot is well worth a visit and the salutation arms pub was very accommadating with our small dog allowing him in the bar whilse we ate.
the owners were a pleasure to do buisness with. well worth a visit and would highly recommend with property for a quiet secluded holiday
