Apartments by the sea with beautiful views

Penthouses on the Island of Ciovo. 15 minute drive from Split airport. 3 minute walk to secluded beach. We have 2,3 and 4 bedroom penthouses available for rental. All have large living/dining areas, fully fitted kitchens with microwave, full cooker, fridge freezer & washing machine. Each penthouse features a CD player, DVD & Digital TV. Fresh bed linen and towels supplied. There is a small market 1 minute from the apartment. The supermarket and main village is a 10 minute walk. There are also water sports and activities 10 minutes further along the beach. Tennis club and courts are a 3 minute walk. Hotel Villa Katarina is minutes away and has a very good restaurant catering all day, ideal for lunch and dinner. Trogir is 5 minutes away by car. Trogir is a medieval town protected by UNESCO with over 100 restaurants and bars and a beautiful port with entertainment & cocktail bars. This penthouse is spacious with high ceilings and has the added advantage of having a an extra mezzanine area for relaxation. The apartment has two L shaped couches. This front facing penthouse has an absolutely amazing view which you can enjoy from the dining and living area. A welcome pack is provided for guests to grasp an understanding of the surrounding area. Also there is an extensive collection of music to use throughout your stay. We have on site staff at the premises and we hope this added service is of benefit to you as our guest. You are in walking distance of pretty much everything you could think of. You are a few minutes from restaurants, the market, the beach, taxi services etc. Don't forget to ask about discounts we have arranged in the local restaurants on your first meals. Planning your wedding? Why not choose Croatia. The church in Ciovo is beautiful and we can cater for your accommodation needs having apartments beside each other.

  • €100 breakage and key deposit to be given on arrival, this will be returned to you at the end of your stay.
    10am checkout.
    3pm check in.
    Tourist tax of approx €1 per day per person to be paid at tourist office. (No charge for children under 12 years; 12-18 .50 cent euro).
    To confirm booking half the amount is payable immediately and the remainder is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
  • Traveling from the UK? Wizzair and Easyjet offer good deals.

    Traveling from Ireland? Croatia Tours and Concorde Travel offer flight only deals.

    Traveling from Europe? Czech Airlines offer deals as do British Airways.

    To confirm your booking 50% of the rental amount needs to be transferred into the bank account. This is non refundable. The remainder is then due one calendar month before your arrival. We highly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers illnesses, accidents etc.

  • The season in Ciovo over the last few years has been getting longer. The season now starts as early as March/April and running right through to October and November. We have had many clients go over at these times of year and have really enjoyed it. We think there is a benefit for each month and it depends on what holiday experience you are looking for. For example the early months of March and April offer a relaxed quite atmosphere plus Croatia offers warm weather in comparison to the UK, Ireland, Germany etc. The high season offers very warm weather, a lively atmosphere, right in the hustle and bustle of everything. The end of the season offers the last of the summer sun, a great time to do some sightseeing and to get a feel for Croatia and its beautiful countryside. Lots of festivals take place throughout the whole year. Split offers the Opera and Ballet. Why not go at Easter or Mid Term breaks? Welcome Pack and Entertainment Area: The entertainment area consists of a DVD and CD player. We also have Satellite TV at all the accommodations. A welcome pack is provided for guests to use to make you familiar with Ciovo/Trogir. The pack includes details on the area, sites to see and recommendations of many restaurants and bars in Trogir and Ciovo. Important telephone numbers are listed and the pack includes maps of the surrounding area. Also a wide selection of cd's are available to use throughout your stay. An extensive list of artists are included that we think you will enjoy. We also have a variety of games at each penthouse - poker chip and card set, chess board, draughts board and jenja.

Tourist Attractions: Some of the tourist attraction include Krka Park – 72 Km of the Krka river and lakes which has wonderful waterfalls. Approx 45 minutes by car from the apartment heading towards Sibenik. And a must see. Don't forget your swimming togs!

Trogir – Is a jewel of a walled town with a wide waterfront promenade that encloses a maze of medieval streets.Places of interest include Cathedral of St Lovro and Church of St. John the Baptist. 15th century town.

Island Hopping – The Islands of Brac and Hvar are easily accessible from the apartment. Regular ferry’s connect from Split to the Islands.

Beautiful appartment, beautiful part of Croatia, fantastic holiday!
Firstly I'd like to thank you for renting us this exceptionally clean, spacious and well located appartment. The views are fantastic and it's proximity to everything is great. I honestly did not want to leave!
Ciovo is a fun, friendly beach town with lots of families and young people alike. Days are spent relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea and evenings are spent in the many beach bars and concerts; or just dining in one of the resturants. We liked eating in 'Leonardo's' a pizza place by the marina, great stone-baked pizzas for about 3 pounds! I would advise people to bring a phrase book though as most Croatians do not speak English. The boat into Trogir is a fun inexpensive way to see this wonderful city. Trogir is a must see. The tiny cobbled streets are marvelous and the terraces are great to get a bite to eat or sip a cocktail. And the ice-cream is delicious! We went on one of the island hoping day trips and visited Solta and Medena, they were just beautiful and unspoilt. The week we were there must have been the hottest week all year, so the air conditioning was a life saver. Having a washing machine was great too, and the clothes literally dried in 10 minutes out on the balcony!
All-in-all this was a truly wonderful experience in which I have great memories. I have fallen in love with this part of the world and hope to return one day.

Best way to stay in Trogir

Very nice modern and comfortable Apartment. Well equipped, clean and cosy. The location is exellent and I would gladly recommed this to anyone. We also got a very good price!!

The island is a wonderful surprise, with spectacular beaches and great for snorkeling.

Fantastic holiday!
Thank you, Alison - you was helpful and the booking was fast & easy, and organized to pick us up from airport.The local staff very pleasant.
Beautiful appartment: nice views, very clean, the kitchen is sparsely equipped, everything is great.
Beautiful part of Croatia,Ciovo is a fun, very interesting old part of Trogir.
Nice size of beach is only 5 min. by walking. We visited the KRKA national water park- it was excellent!!!!
So it was a wonderful summers week!!

Stay in Croatia

The aprtment we stayed in was well furnished and clean. The living area was spacious, however the balcony was slightly small with little sun.

However a very comfortable apartment and we where welcomed in a very friendly and helpful manner by Alison.

The restaurant literally a 1 minute walk was excellent, food one of our favourites.
Recommended for:  Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers
Owner's Response: Yes the Villa Katarina is a very good restaurant be sure to tell Josipa and Sime (the hosts) we sent you.

The balcony overlooks the bay and has a fabulous view which can be viewed while sitting at the dining table :)

Family stay July 2009

We had a great time staying in this apartment. It was just as described - clean, tidy, spacious and with everything we could need for our 2 week stay. It was a bonus having air conditionong and the washing machine. Alison was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very well located with beach within very easy reach. Just far enough away from the bars and main beach for it to feel secluded but near enough to walk to when we needed them! Hired a car but didn't need it apart from getting to and from airport or if you wanted to visit further afield. Supermarket and everything you need within walking distance. Enjoyed getting the water taxi to Trogir which is a beautiful place - worth visiting in the day and at night. Water taxi was a great way to avoid the queue over the bridge from Ciovo to Trogir which can be a real bottle neck.
Upstairs bathroom could be better designed as toilet difficult to use if you are a tall man! Comfortably sleeps 6 - think it might be a bit cosy for 8 but would happily recommend this apartment to others.
