Penthouses on the Island of Ciovo. 15 minute drive from Split airport. 3 minute walk to secluded beach. Each penthouse features a CD player, DVD & Digital TV. We have 2,3 and 4 bedroom penthouses available for rental. All have large living/dining areas, fully fitted kitchens with microwave, full cooker, fridge freezer & washing machine. Fresh bed linen and towels supplied. There is a small market 1 minute from the apartment. The supermarket and main village is a 10 minute walk. There are also water sports and activities 10 minutes further along the beach. Tennis club and courts are a 3 minute walk. Hotel Villa Katarina is minutes away and has a very good restaurant catering all day, ideal for lunch and dinner. Trogir is 5 minutes away by car. Trogir is a medieval town protected by UNESCO with over 100 restaurants and bars and a beautiful port with entertainment & cocktail bars. This is a luxurious 2 bed penthouse apartment. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard. Fresh towels and linen are provided for guests. The entertainment area consists of a LCD TV, DVD player, satellite TV and a CD/radio player. A detailed CD collection is available for guests to use while staying in the apartment. A welcome pack is included with details on the Ciovo/Trogir area. The penthouse has the added advantage of having a large terrace area (23m2) and comprises of two loungers to sunbath on. A large table with four big chairs and cushions (chairs also go back into a lounger position) You are in walking distance of pretty much everything you could think of. You are a few minutes from restaurants, the local market, the beach and the taxi service etc. Don't forget to ask us about discounts we have arranged on your first meal at the local restaurants. Hob/stove, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, iron/ironing board, cable TV, satellite TV.

  • 10am checkout
    3pm check in
    Tourist tax of approx €1 per day per person to be paid at tourist office. (No charge for children under 12 years; 12-18 .50 cent euro
  • To confirm your booking 50% of the rental amount needs to be transferred into the bank account. This is non refundable. The remainder is then 6 weeks before your arrival. We highly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers illnesses, accidents etc.

    A breakage deposit of €200 (£160) needs to given on arrival, this will be returned to you at the end of your stay provided nothing is broken or missing.

    **ON SITE STAFF**
    We employ fully fluent English staff to greet you and show you around the apartment and make you familiar with Ciovo's surroundings. We have received many letters thanking us as they are so helpful. We hope this added service is of particular benefit to you as our guest.
  • The season in Ciovo over the last few years has been getting longer. The season now starts as early as March/April and running right through to October and November. We have had many clients go over at these times of year and have really enjoyed it. We think there is a benefit for each month and it depends on what holiday experience you are looking for. For example the early months of March and April offer a relaxed quite atmosphere plus Croatia offers warm weather in comparison to the UK, Ireland, Germany etc. The high season offers very warm weather, a lively atmosphere, right in the hustle and bustle of everything. The end of the season offers the last of the summer sun, a great time to do some sightseeing and to get a feel for Croatia and its beautiful countryside.
    Lots of festivals take place throughout the whole year. Split offers the Opera and Ballet. Why not go at Easter or Mid Term breaks? Call us at any stage should you want more information on the best time to go?

A welcome pack is provided for guests to use to make you familiar with Ciovo/Trogir. The pack includes details on the area, sites to see and recommendations of many restaurants and bars in Trogir and Ciovo. Important telephone numbers are listed and the pack includes maps of the surrounding area. Also a wide selection of cd's are available to use throughout your stay. An extensive list of artists are included that we think you will enjoy. We also have a variety of games at each penthouse - poker chip and card set, chess board, draughts board and jenja. The cd collection includes a wide range of artists including, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Arctic Monkeys, Madonna, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Bob Marley plus many others.

Tourist Attractions: Some of the tourist attraction include Krka Park – 72 Km of the Krka river and lakes which has wonderful waterfalls. Approx 45 minutes by car from the apartment heading towards Sibenik. And a must see. Don't forget your swimming togs! Trogir – Is a jewel of a walled town with a wide waterfront promenade that encloses a maze of medieval streets.Places of interest include Cathedral of St Lovro and Church of St. John the Baptist. 15th century town. Island Hopping – The Islands of Brac and Hvar are easily accessible from the apartment. Regular ferry’s connect from Split to the Islands.

We had a great time in the penthouse apartment. The photos don't do it justice. It's a great location, quiet, yet a 5 minute walk to the main beach at Okrug, with its many beach bars and restuarants. Watching the sunset over the bay from the Terrace, with the smells of early evening cooking wafting in the air, and the sounds of the distant beach, was idyllic.You can see the local beach from the terrace, which is a two minute stroll down from the apartment. The welcome pack and advice on local restuarants were a nice touch and on the button. We tried The End in Trogir (try the grilled sea wolf !), and both Villa Katerina and Mali Raj (mixed grill for two is divine) in Okrug. All were superb.
I would love to return soon, and would definitely return to the apartment. The traffic in and out of Trogir was fierce at peak times (it took us over an hour for what should be a 10 minute journey, however the boat from Okrug takes 20 minutes and is a far better way to travel in, very picturesque as you arrive in Trogir. There were lots of great day trip options. We did Krka falls which are incredible, and also hired a boat for a day (70euros) and swam in secluded bays, stopping off at beach bars and resturants around the island. It felt like paradise. Split was a great day out and a 30 minute boat trip away(2 euros) from satine on the other side of the island.

As a family of 4 with boys aged 17 and 16 appartment 8B was just right. The situation is excellent as not far from beach , water taxi and shops. The appartment itself was very comfortable and the air conditioning very welcome. A small shop is very near by for essential provisions but we discovered a nice easy walk ( avoiding the busy main rd) above the appartment that took us into centre of okrug where there is a much bigger supermarket . We had a fantastic holiday and highlights included relaxing on local rocky beach , taking the water taxi into Trogir , exploring Trogir itself , eating at mali raj restaurant in Okrug ( best by far), visiting Split and a lovely boat trip from Okrug to a few islands where swimming in beautiful waters was a joy. Overall excellent value for money and we are definitely planning a return visit.

Ciovo- A Little Piece of Heaven.

You didn’t exaggerate one little bit,the place is as magical as you said and exactly as the ads claim “The Mediterranean as it once was”. We have been travelling throughout Europe for over 30 years now and Croatia reminds us of our very earliest experiences, with clear water, a slow pace and extremely friendly locals.
As for the apartment, your description was totally understated. The apartment was extremely spacious and well laid out over the two levels, with all needed facilities provided.. and more. The second bathroom was the icing on the cake when it came to getting ready to go out in the evening - no queues!!
Your welcome pack with info about local activities and restaurants was just great. You were right about the Mali Raj and when Astro found out that you sent us he gave us an even bigger welcome (as well as the promised discount). We ended up going there a few times and I have to mention the food. One of the standard menu items, a chateaubriand for two, was as good as any we have had anywhere and with the price including all potatoes and other vegetables it is definitely the best value.
On another occasion he offered to prepare a fish meal for the four of us. We chose nothing and just arrived at the restaurant at the appointed time. We had soup from the fish to get the meal up and running and the main course was two types of fish, one grilled and one boiled. I can’t remember the name of the fish but all I can say is the meal was an exceptional culinary experience. On the same note the local hotel, Villa Katarina was also a top class recommendation, especially as it is only one minute from the apartment block. Josipa and Simon were just as welcoming as Astro.
Changing topic, the beach REALLY is well secluded and REALLY is only a short stroll away, as you promised and the views from the apartment balcony over the beach and further afar added to the whole experience.
I could go on forever mentioning different places and experiences but I won’t. However, I do have to mention Trogir. This tiny heritage town is an absolute MUST for all visitors, especially as it is only a few minutes away by road or water taxi which was another nice little experience.
By the way, I found out that “Mali Raj” means “Little Paradise” in Croatian. It is not only a good description for the restaurant, it is apt for the whole of Ciovo and Trogir, which to my mind is definitely a little piece of heaven.
We will definitely be going back there, sooner rather than later.

Our Holiday on Ciovo

We stayed at No. 20 last summer... We really had should a lovely time... The apartment lived up to all our expectations, it was very spacious because of the two floors, and it was very handy having two full bathrooms for showers etc...

Everything was provided for, there was nothing missing... The property was very clean.. The balcony overlooked the sea and had the sun all day! The little extras made it extra special i.e. the cd's, the linen and towels. Also Vlado and Josipa were so helpful, they showed us everything we needed to know and told us all about the place. We were able to make the most of holiday because of this.

We loved being so close to the sea as it allowed us to pop back up to the apartment for any reason, especially when the kids forgot anything...

Villa Katrina, literally a few minutes walk from the apartment was lovely for lunch, dinner and drinks. The Mali Rai had some mouth watering food. Trogir had numerous restaurants. For anyone reading this Trogir is a medieval walled town protected by UNESCO and is just such a pretty place to be, full of history, its over 2400 years old.

The welcome book gave us some great ideas for things to do on in the area.. So a big thank you from all of us....
