Stunning MGM Chalet Apartment
Our chalet apartment in Les Carroz, part of the Grand Massif, is one of 4 in Chalet M. It enjoys excellent views of the mountains and is situated in a quiet and peaceful location. In the ski season, a regular free ski bus operates a 2 minute walk from the apartment, so you can be on the gondola within 10 minutes and on the slopes 10 minutes later enjoying a vast ski area in the Grand Massif with a variety of ski slopes to suit all skiers. There is also a snow nursery for younger children a short walk from the apartment. A great place for weekend breaks with special weekend ski passes. We are near the sports centre, which includes swimming, tennis. There are a number of walks and cycle trails from the apartment and surrounding area. The unspoilt alpine village is a short walk (about 15 mins) with all facilities you would need and often there are family orientated events to join in.

Les Carroz is a traditional French Alps village, one of the 5 linked resorts that make up the Grand Massif (Flaine, Samoens, Morrillon, Sixt being the other 4) There is an abundance of high quality skiing right on the doorstep with 265km of pistes on offer making this area the 3rd largest resort in France. Apart from being one of the most snow sure regions in the Alps with an excellent snow record and skiing to suit all levels, Les Carroz also benefits from its prime location, just 45 minutes from Geneva and 30 minutes from Chamonix. The beautiful town of Annecy with its wonderful lake is only 40 minutes away and worth a visit. Les Carroz is a family resort, with various ski schools and a variety of sporting and leisure activities to suit all. Les Carroz also has its cafes, restaurants and shops situated in and around the village square, which also hosts a variety of activities and events.

All prices in GBP. Linen and towels can be rented at an extra cost of EUR 15 per person per stay. To secure a booking we require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the holiday cost in GBP (or Euro equivalent). This may be in the form of a personal cheque. Within eight weeks of the start of your holiday we require the full rental, plus a returnable damage deposit of £200 in GBP (or Euro equivalent) in the form of a bank cheque. Should you wish to book the apartment, please check with us the dates are available so that the booking can be held up to 7 days until we receive your deposit confirming the reservation. | Notes: | The alpine apartment is 44m2 provides the following It sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms Bedroom 1 with double bed & built-in cupboards; Family Bathroom (bath tub and shower with screen, washbasin, hot towel rail and mirror cabinet); Separate Toilet; a open-plan Living/Dining/Kitchen area furnished with traditional pine furniture and comfortable sofa, armchair, TV/ DVD. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave-combi oven. dishwasher, washing machine. fridge, extractor fan, halogen hob and traditional pine cabinets. The balcony (with table and chairs) and bedroom 1 window enjoy views over the village to the mountains and ski slopes. . Parking in front of the apartment, a private ski locker is situated on 1st floor outside the apartment and free regular shuttle service near the chalet. Sporting activities are within 200m of the apartment, including 3 outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, horse riding, indoor sports hall. |
Getting there.
By Air: Geneva airport is about 40 minutes drive by Les Carroz. Easyjet, BMIbaby and Jet2 fly to the airport. Make sure to exit on the Swiss side and book your cars /transport on this side Transfers: There are various taxi services, which can be arranged to be to pick up at Geneva Airport. By Car: From Calais Ferry port, the journey will take about 8 hours to reach Les Carroz, there are several good internet sites to work out your route (e.g. Mappy or Michelin). Snow chains may be required for the final part of the mountain climb into the village.
Skiing Information
From our apartment, the regular ski bus will take you straight to the telecabine (or ski school), which then transports you into the 265km of pistes of the Grand Massif (5 linked resorts - Flaine, Sixt, Morrillon, Samoens, Les Carroz). There is a variety of pistes to suit all skiers (with mainly red/blues) with great mountain cafes and restaurants to head towards for that well earned rest. There are several ski schools within the village and ski hire shops.
Summer Activities
Walking - there are 200km of marked paths over the Grand Massif, (gentle walks to challenging/climbs) Mountain Biking - There is an abundance of mountain biking trails, the telecabine also offers the facility to take your bike to top of the mountain. The sports complex situated near our apartment included 3 swimming pools, tennis courts, inside sports hall. There is also a wide range of activities organised from the village to tempt everyone, including paragliding, water rafting, balloon rides
