Perfect peaceful location & accomodation

Lyndavid Dorset UK
Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
Just returned from a fabulous week at the farmhouse. The location is perfect for touring as you can travel north, south, east or west and Stirling itself is very interesting with plenty to see and do. Personal recommendations in Stirling are the castle and The Old Jail. Further afield Loch Lomond, the smaller distilleries and Ben Nevis.
The farmhouse is clean and well laid out for families or party groups with plenty of room to be together or find your own space. All equipment is modern and everything is provided. Val is a wonderful person offering advice or privacy as and when needed. All in all thouroughly recommended to anyone.

A wonderful week in Scotland

Barcelona's team Barcelona, Spain
Review Submitted: September 15, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We were a group of three families from Spain. We had 3 teenagers with us and a girl of 9. We found a very comfortable place and Val was very helpful with us. She told us the best places to visit around. The house is very big and there was enough room for all of us (10). It is very well situated if you want to visit different places around in Scotland. I really recommend it. Stirling is also a very nice city with lots of places to visit.

Had a very enjoyable stay at Bank End Farm. 4 Adults, 7 Girls and a dog but there was plenty of space in the house with the two living rooms being a welcome bonus. Location is very well placed for visits to Stirling, the Trossachs, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Recommended.

Vacation at Old Bankend Farm.

Review Submitted: September 7, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
8 of us, adults from Vancouver British Columbia spent a week at the farm during our U.K. vacation and were glad that we did, trust me this place has it all, old world charm combined with all mod cons idealy situated for exploring the highlands, conveniently located for major cities and tourist attractions,of which there are plenty, something for every one ,and at the same time is an ideal place if all you wan;t to do is relax, walk about the farm and just let the world pass you by for a few days.Val the owner is close by and is full of helpful information and she is not in your face like some owners can be.If you are planning a vacation in Scotland give the farmhouse a whirl you wont regret it.

The Maiden Clan Family Holiday 2009

The Maiden Clan Isle of Man
Review Submitted: September 6, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
The farm house was everything that was mentioned and more... We were given a very warm welcome from Val and her daughter, Hannah, they were there to assist us whenever we needed a bit of advice on activities and the local area. The children, (aged 7-15) and adults (21-21+++!), had a ball with the horses and always found something to do no matter the weather.
The location is stunning and relaxed, however, only a short distance from shops and the town. The house was beautiful, clean and extreamly comfortable, I will be recommending Bankend to family and friends.
Thank you Val from us all, it was just the tonic we needed.
