Our self-catering holiday cottage is the result of careful restoration and conversion of the existing farm buildings, and now offer you superb quality accommodation for relaxing vacations in Scotland. Loudoun Mains can offer you one to three bedroom holiday cottages, all part of a complex with extensive grounds and country Club with gymnasiums, sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. All accommodation is furnished and equipped to a very high standard - living room with telephone and colour TV, kitchen with fridge, electric cooker and microwave, bathroom with bath, shower and shaver point. Cots are available on request. Some pets are welcome by special arrangement. Heating is by electricity (£1 coin meter). Every cottage benefits from the wireless wifi network recently installed (WI FI is an extra nominal cost). Substantial discounts for last minute (-35%) and late availability holidays (-25%) based on full weeks only.

Loudoun Mains Country Cottages with Country Club (swimming pool) is located on a converted farm steading just outside the village of Newmilns near Kilmarnock. We are approx. 20min from the Ayrshire coast and 30mins from Glasgow city centre and 75mins from Edinburgh. We are an ideal location for all vacations involving touring, golfing hunting fishing etc. and are 2 miles from Loudoun Castle theme park (Scotlands biggest!). In the local area we have Golfing with over 30 courses within 30min drive, Horseriding, Clay pigeon shooting, Quad biking, 4x4 Racing, All year round Skiing and Snowboarding, Rambling, Cycling and walking paths with the Irvine Valley Paths Network accommodating the fit and the not so fit. Within 6 miles we have a multiplex cinema, all the usual fast food places. Nearest villages is less than1.5 miles away and has Banks, a Post Office, Various Pubs/Bars, a fantastic Bistro, local Cafes and Restaurants and full public transport links to all of Scotland.

Superb place, beautiful country, warm hospitality

Property was spacious, clean, well equiped and interesting. The gallery style roof with a glass section made it bright and airy, and a great place to sit and watch the sun come up.

There was a perfectly adequate pool - very warm and great for the kids.

The area is beautiful and great for walking. And we recommend "Electric Brae" - look it up on the Internet.

I stayed at a cottage in Loudoun Mains recently and feel I must write a review to recommend this holiday cottage. The property was clean with plenty of fresh towels and bedding. The manager David, was friendly and warm and couldn't have been more helpful. The country club is well maintained and has a lovely swimming pool which my kids and I used almost every day! I would absolutely reccommend Loudoun Mains to anyone.
