This wonderful fisherman's cottage is located right on the waterfront in the stunningly beautiful village of Kakrc. Kakrc is an authentic fishing village consisting of just 14 old stone cottages, all of which are listed as part of a national heritage site. The area is a haven of peace and tranquillity with lovely views across the bay. The village is located on Lustica peninsula, a wild and unspoilt area with acres of olive groves and many secluded coves. Lustica boasts several Blue Flag beaches, an internationally recognised award which guarantees the highest water quality and environmental management. This charming stone cottage has been renovated to a high standard making it a comfortable holiday home yet still retaining its traditional character. It has a fantastic terrace area with outdoor seating from which to enjoy the amazing sea views and relaxing atmosphere. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms this cottage offers flexible accommodation for families, friends or couples.

The historic village of Kakrc is in the Lustica Peninsula across the bay from Tivat. There are 2 stores in walking distance for self-catering, and dotted along the coast are some lovely seafood restaurants serving local produce. The cottage is only a 15 minute drive from Tivat (10 mins from Tivat airport), 20 minutes from the historic centre of Kotor - but importantly just 5 minutes from one of the best beaches in Monenegro, 'Blue Horizons' - or just enjoy the swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the bay at your doorstep. If you are flying into Dubrovnik, it is only a 75 minute drive across the border. The crossing is straightforward. If you are hiring a car we recommend SIXT. As the property is set off the road with a 70m walk to the protected stone village it is not recommended for those with limited mobility.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We accept payment by bank transfer, paypal or cheque. A booking deposit of 30% of the total cost is due at time of booking. If the booking is made less than ten weeks prior to departure, the full amount will be payable upon booking. If you cancel with at least 10 weeks notice, this booking fee will be retained. If you cancel with less than 10 weeks notice, the full fee will be retained.
    Each booking requires a GBP200 security deposit payable with the balance of the booking. If the cottage and its contents are in order at the conclusion of your rental, this will be returned to you within 1 month.
    If your booking is for a period less than 5 nights, you will pay a GBP25 surcharge for cleaning.

  • The bedrooms upstairs each enjoy spectacular views across the Bay of Kotor. Windows are double-glazed and bi-opening. The shutters can black out all external light if you want to sleep in! Each window has a draw-across fly screen. The property is air-conditioned. The master bedroom includes a large double bed with crisp white cotton bed linen. The second bedroom contains a bunk bed consisting of 2 single beds. Also accessed from this room is a double loft bed accessed by ladder stairs. The living room contains a single sofa bed. We also have a Graco porta'crib there for families with small children
