The Chateau Gites provide a very high standard of accommodation, all have Sat TV, DVD, fully equipped kitchens inc washer dryer, dishwasher & microwaves. The Western Gite accommodates a max of 5, with mezzanine floors. The Eastern Gite accommodates 4-6 and has a jacuzzi bath and open plan kitchen, it also has electric central heating for winter rental.The Grange and Porcherie compliment the smaller houses with their greater capacity for extended familes or groups and are centrally heated. The view of the Chateau from the master bedrooms is magnificent. Outside there are private barbeques with tables and chairs, for al fresco dining in the evening sun. Children are very welcome and there is a play area for them with trampoline, slide, swings and even a mini castle for them to play in. With 28 acres of private park, your children are totally secure and can let off steam while you relax and for those of you who want peace and quiet, its easy to get away from this, if you prefer!

The Western Gatehouse Gite is more traditional accommodation. We have tried to keep many of the original features. It has a fully fitted kitchen including hob/oven, dishwasher and large fridge freezer plus washer/dryer. The sitting room has a romantic fireplace which extends all the way up through the building and the mezzanine floors can be viewed from below. Comfortable sofas surround the fire area which is light and airey. TV/SAT Video and DVD are all fitted and from here original stairs lead to a sixteenth century tiled second floor where the bunk beds are located with a large wardrobe and porthole view of the village square. A cot is available and a 'pull out' bed can also be utilized for children. The bathroom is on this floor with bath/shower.Instant hot water is provided by an 'on demand' boiler and gas is complimentary too. A further staircase takes you to the carpeted, top master bedroom, mind your head! Here tranquility prevails, along with a great view of the Chateau.

The Chateau is just a stones throw from the famous village of Chablis where there is a lively market every Sunday morning. We can organise free wine tasting for you and obviously give you the best tips on where to buy. 'On site' tasting is also possible. A 45min drive takes you to Aube region where the Champagne grapes are grown. Here you can taste for free and take guided tours of the vineyards. The cost of a good Champagne is around 15 euros a bottle! Local reds are great too. Burgundy also boasts some of the best cheese in France and there is nothing more enjoyable than sitting on the side of the Burgundy canal with some fresh bread, cheese and a bottle of local wine. Restaurants offer a wide variety to suit all, but will of course serve up local specialities .. escargots, if you wish, definitely the best snails in France! Other activities include rock climbing, canoeing, horse riding and bowling. Auxerre is 20mins drive with its fantastic renaissance architecture and good shops.

Fantastic Holiday Home

My family and I were quite impressed with the wonderful hospitality at the Gatehouse Gite. Our family of five, including three children aged 2, 4, and 6 were so welcomed and looked after during our stay; it was truly remarkable. The home was perfect for our family; arrangements were made for our youngest to stay in a cot. There were many activities for our children to keep busy, and the area was very safe which put us at ease. We enjoyed being a part of a small French town, even if for just a week. Lesley was able to arrange a couple of wine tastings, and was very happy to help us with finding appropriate restaurants and other activies for our family. We apprecieted the little "extras" such as having a few staples upon our arrival. We enjoyed the privacy but also enjoyed the fact that Lesley was a few short steps away in case we needed anything. We would not hesitate to highly recommend this property for anyone's holiday. We hope to return in the future!

wunderschönes Haus in ruhiger traumhafter Lage

Wir haben mit unserem Hund zwei sehr entspannende und schöne Wochen auf dem riesig großen Anwesen erlebt. Auf dem Grundstück ist ein Wald und ein kleiner Bachlauf und viel Wiesen und Spielgeräte für Kinder. Die sehr nette Vermieterin (spricht englisch und französisch), die auf dem angrenzenden Grundstück wohnt, ist immer greifbar wenn man mal Fragen oder Probleme hat. Das Haus ist rustikal sehr schön und mit feinen Details ausgestattet. Es hat alles was man braucht (Backofen, Geschirrspüler, Wasserkocher etc). Ein Brötchenwagen fährt jeden Morgen in den kleinen Ort, größere Einkaufsläden sind aber auch mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Auf Wunsch begleitet die Vermieterin auch Weinproben in die angrenzenden Weingebiete und erzählt viel von Chablis einem angesagten Weisweinanbaugebiet. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder unseren Urlaub dort verbringen. Sind einfach begeistert gewesen.
