'Happy Days' is a luxurious 3 bedroomed split level self catering penthouse apartment being part of the select Lyonesse Apartments development with stunning views overlooking the award winning Blue Flag Porthminster beach at St. Ives Cornwall. It was completed in 2007 & has been awarded a 5 star rating by the Visit Britain Tourist Board; the highest & most prestigeous avaiable. It is furnished to the highest standard to ensure a memorable holiday in beautiful St. Ives. Whilst the apartment comfortably caters for families up to 6, it has a contemporary and cosy feel that will also be appreciated by couples looking for that extra special holiday. The entrance leads to a wide stairway that runs up to the first floor hallway from which you access the bathroom and bedrooms 2 & 3. A further small flights of steps lead to the master bedroom, laundry area and onto the open-plan kitchen, lounge/dining area. This is a no-smoking apartment. Sorry, no pets.

St. Ives comprises a necklace of 4 golden beaches including the Blue Flag beaches of Porthminster & Porthmeor which are within easy walking distant of 'Happy Days'. St. Ives and the surrounding area has something for everyone from those looking for a relaxing time to those seeking more activity. Swimming, windsurfing, sailing, motorboat trips/hire, fishing and diving are all on the doorstep. The azure blue sea enjoys an excellent reputation for its water quality. Porthminster beach was again awarded a Blue Flag in 2007 and is one of the best being sheltered, life guard patrolled and boasting the World renown Porthminster Beach Cafe (featured many times on TV). Other activities include golf, horse riding and walking with stunning cliff-side walks taking in the beauty and ample wildlife of this pristine part of Britain. St. Ives is a world famous art centre & boasts the Tate Gallery & the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Eating out is a joy. Restaurants abound and cater for all taste.

Notes to the rental rates

Rates are for the apartment which caters for a single family of up to 6 plus use of a dedicated on site parking space for one vehicle. Part week bookings are considered outside the main seasonal holiday periods at the rate of 1/7th of the weekly rate (rounded up) plus £95 to cover laundry and cleaning change over costs. The booking fee includes for provision of fresh white bed linen and soft white towels made from pima American cotton recognised internationally as the World's finest. Beach towels not provided. A welcome pack will greet our guests to include such items as coffee, milk, tea, sugar, Cornish biscuits, a bottle of wine & fruit. A breakage/security deposit of £150 per booking applies. This is returned within 4 weeks of the end of the holiday subject to a no-damage report by our cleaners. There are external steps leading to the apartment & internal stairs which make the apartment unsuitable for the infirm or young children under the age of 4.

All bookings must be made by a member of the party occupying the apartment and the person booking must be aged over 21. They must agree to the terms and conditions of the Booking on behalf of all persons included on the Booking Form. The apartment is ideal for a family for up to 6 and couples looking a special holiday. Booking for all male/female non family groups of 3 and over are not generally accepted. A non refundable deposit of £150 per week is required on booking with balance due 4 weeks prior to occupancy. We strongly recommend that travel insurance is independently arranged covering all those on the Booking Form.

The lounge/dinning area is light & airy and comfortably caters for up to 6. There is 32' LCD Digital TV with SKY movie/sports, DVD, PlayStation 2 console, DAB radio/CD player and a good provision of games, Cd's, DVDs & books for use by guests. The apartment also has Wi-FI Broadband internet connection for use by guests. It is just a short stroll away from the town, harbour and fine beaches of St. Ives which total 5 in all and include the award winning Blue Flag beaches of Porthminister & Porthmeor. Visitors old and new will be constantly enchanted by the clear light, beauty and 'buzz' of this special place. Travel by air or train to St. Ives
Not sure whether to drive down to Cornwall? Newquay is just a short 30 miles away from St. Ives and an increasing number of flights now fly into Newquay's small and pleasant airport. For flight info log onto newquay airport. Flights are presently available from London Gatwick, London Stanstead, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin, Cork & Belfast with airlines ryanair, bmi baby, air southwest and flybe. Car hire from Newquay is readily available from Newquay airport - please ask us for links. For train travel click onto national rail to plan your route with local time tables available on line. The train station in St. Ives is directly aside Porthminster Beach and just a few minutes walk from the apartment. If you have heavy suit cases, then taxis are available at the train station at most times to take you on the very short journey from the train station right to the door step of 'Happy Days'.
Travel by road to St. Ives
For those travelling by car from the North exit the M5 at J31 and take the A30 all the way down to St. Ives following the signs for Launceston, Redruth & Penzance. At Loggans Roundabout continue to follow the signs for Penzance not Hayle and at the next roundabout take the A3074 sign posted St. Ives. You will start to pass through the white washed houses and palm fringed gardens of Lelant and Carbis Bay with sea glimpses inviting you forward towards 'Happy Days'. Take the A3074 all the way into St. Ives. On approaching the town the road forks left and right. Take the left onto Albert Road and then next left onto Talland Road. Lyonesse Apartments are a few metres along on the right hand side. Drive past the apartments and take your next right which brings you to the rear of the apartments and to your dedicated parking space.
Out and about around St. Ives
On visiting St. Ives many will park-up for the duration of their holiday and enjoy the amenities that this special place has to offer: all within walking distant from 'Happy Days'. However, close-by attractions may also beckon.St Michael's Mount is a true treasure of Cornwall. It is just a short drive away. Sited on an island a few hundred metres off-shore from the ancient town of Marazion, the castle is now owned by the National Trust and is accessed at low tide by a granite causeway or by ferry at high tide. The Eden Project is a major UK attraction. It is a living theatre of plants and people built on the site of a huge former china clay pit- ask us for link. Lands End, The Lizard, The Minnack Theatre, The Isles of Scilly, Godrevy Lighthouse, Mousehole, Perranporth, Porthcurno,Truro, The National Trust Gardens of Cornwall, Newquay's Blue Reef Aquarium & Zoo, Goonhill Earth Station, The National Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Theme Park & so much more are all within easy reach.
