The Loft Corran More is a beautiful one bedroom cottage located on Mizen Head. It is very private and the only neighbours are the owners. The views from the glass balcony take in Brow Head, Crookhaven, Sherkin Island and miles and miles of Atlantic Ocean. The studio has solid oak flooring, a beautifully crafted handmade kitchen, bed and vanity unit in the little en-suite bathroom. It is a charming space in a peaceful and tranquil part of West Cork.

Mizen head is the most southwesterly point in Ireland. Besides the magnificent scenery and sandy beaches the local towns and villages are charming, farmers markets and arts and crafts featuring highly. From bar food to restaurants there is a variety to suit all tastes. Barleycove, with its blue flag beach, is a 5 minute walk down the road. Crookhaven and Schull are only a short journey and well worth the trip. The area itself is also a first and last stop for migrating birds and the night sky is heavenly.

Even better than the pictures

This is a beautiful, spotless, well equipped loft apartment. It is in a stunning location. We breakfasted on the balcony most mornings. The area is peaceful & relaxing. The are a number of local clean beaches with white sands & turquoise water. The owners live next door and are pleasant hosts who are very helpful and accommodating, but not intrusive.

There is lots of excellent eating locally - always with a choice of seafood. Food is however a bit more expensive than in UK.

Transport is essential and most roads are narrow - so traveling times in the area are extended. I would recommend the hand-made jewelry at "Catlonia" in Crookhaven.

We enjoyed at trip to the signal Station at Mizenhead and a visit to Cape Clear Island. It would be a great place for water sports.

We will certainly recommend this to friends.

Die Ferienwohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Besonders die Lage und die Aussicht sind traumhaft schön! Die Wohnung ist mehr als zweckmässig ausgestattet. Es gab eine komplett ausgetattete Küche inkl. Backofen, Grill und Mikrowelle. Die Wohnung war sauber, sehr hell und schön eingerichtet. Die Größe des Badezimmers ist, bedingt durch eine Schräge, allerdings nichts für größere Menschen. Und noch eine kurze Anmerkung... wir wußten zwar, dass der Strom separat bezahlt werden mußte, hatten allerdings nicht nach dem Preis pro Einheit gefragt. Wir haben dort 1 Woche verbracht und mehr bezahlt als wir im Voraus dachten.
Die Vermieterin war aber sehr freundlich und absolut nicht aufdringlich! Wir haben uns daher sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt!
Für Menschen, die Einsamkeit und Ruhe mögen, würde wir die Wohnung (trotz Strom und Bad) absolut bedenkenlos weiter empfehlen! Durch die etwas abgelegenere Gegend ist allerdings ein PKW notwendig.
Aber die Landschaft ist einfach ein Traum!!!
