This spacious manor house is set in a walled, flower filled courtyard in a tranquil rural hamlet, 25 minutes' drive from Brittany's north coast. A perfect location for those who enjoy the real freedom of self -catering. Beautifully renovated to retain all the character of the original house - high ceilings, stone walls and huge beams on the ground floor. The country kitchen is fully equipped, has a large dining area and a wood burning stove. The living area has a huge granite fireplace and an impressive staircase leading to a mezzanine level and the first floor. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and the bathrooms/shower rooms are finished to the highest standard. The large garden has views over the surrounding countryside. It has a children's play area, BBQ area, boules court, croquet and table tennis. The sheltered terraces are ideal for outdoor meals. Across the courtyard is the English owners home.

St. Glen is a village with bar, boulangerie and post office. Trebry (3km) has a bar, restaurant and shop. Penguilly (2km) has a bistro/bar and shop. The surrounding pretty countryside boasts several lakes; Jugon les Lacs (15km) boasts 2 lakes perfect for boating, wind surfing, fishing, walking and also a heated outdoor swimming pool. Lamballe has a weekly market and national stud farm. From Lamballe catch the TGV to Rennes, the capital of Brittany or go on a day trip to Paris. Local festivals celebrate the middle ages and there is the medieval festival in Moncontour and Dinan. Pleneuf Val Andre (25km) is a popular sandy beach resort, with a fishing port and the golf course there is reputed to be one of the finest in Europe. The beautiful medieval town of Dinan with its fashionable boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants is 30 min away. St Malo (45km) has a rich and varied history which can be seen in its Cathedral, castle and ancient walls. The spectacular Granite Coast is 30 min away.
