Situated in Bourg D'oisans at the foot of Alpe D'huez. Self Catering. Summer/ winter rental. 2 bedroom, chalet style apartment (within a block of 4). Beautifully finished, stunning views, full of character. Furnished to an excellent standard, the attractive apartment has front door off a single flight of stairs. On the 1st floor a well equipped, fully integrated kitchen and open plan living space with feature window and French doors offering stunning views of the mountains. Sofa, chairs and dining area for 6 lead to a south facing balcony with table chairs for 4 people. Bedroom 1, 2nd floor (sleeps 2), 2 singles, with bathroom containing bath, toilet, sink. 1st floor (sleeps up to 4), 1 bunk bed and 1single with 1 single hideaway bed beneath. Shower room, toilet and wash basin lead off the hall. There is parking, a garage and large cave storage area. A paradise of activities. In summer: walking, climbing, horse riding, cycling, rafting, canoeing, swimming, fishing, golf and paragliding. For cyclists you are ideally placed for many cycle routes and just a few metres from the base of the 21 switchbacks up to Alpe d'Huez. Take a walk to the pretty village of Bourg d'Oisans with its river running through. Bourg has several restaurants, cafes, a large supermarket and busy year round Saturday market. Within walking distance, communal tennis, a bouledrome and an open air pool with toddler pool, water slide and grass area for picnics. Take a day trip to Italy, or the walled fortress town of Briancon, Visit historic Grenoble with its shops and museum. The apartment is well placed to select the 'best snow' in winter. EASY access with plenty of free parking at both high resorts Alpe d'Huez and Les 2 Alpes and the pretty tree lined resort Vaujany. You are 1 hour away from the delightful resort of Serre Chevalier.

Getting to Bourg d'oisans: Grenoble Isere is closest airport approx 1 hour drive from Bourg d'oisans. Ryan Air, Easy Jet and British Airways all fly there. Flights are more regular in the winter season. Grenoble is a small hassle free airport, however, if you want more flight options, Lyon is about 90min away from Bourg d'oisans. It is better to pre book car hire at Grenoble airport, however if you wish there is a bus to Grenoble bus station, where you pick up a connecting bus to Bourg d'Oisans. Alternatively drive from Calais which takes about 8 hours. Buses from Grenoble to Bourg d'oisans. Times available at tourist board.

Take a break : Discover the village of Bourg d'Oisans especially lively in the summer; mix with locals and holiday makers in the little bars and restaurants. Don't miss the all year round Saturday market - a great choice of outstanding cheese, fresh vegetables, bread, cold meats and much more! Visit Grenoble, take a tram ride, scenic cable car, shop in the pedestrianised area or visit the museums. Visit the quaint cobblestone village of Venosc. Fishing: one of the greatest fishing areas with top-grade streams, torrents, rivers, two dams, and numerous mountain lakes. Golf: play 9 hole golf in Alpe d'Huez or Les Deux Alpes or enjoy 18 holes at various golf courses around Grenoble. Swimming: Kids will enjoy the choice of pools; the summer communal pool and water slide in Bourg dosians. A great indoor pool at Vaujany with lane swimming, water slide, kids pool and spa area, or the open air and indoor pools in Alpe d'Huez. Great accommodation in a great position

Spent a week in Sue and Jamie's apartment (6th - 12th Sep 09), and what a fantastic apartment it is too.
The apartment was very clean, bright and modern, with all the mod cons. Super kitchen, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms and loos, excellent sized table for eating at, comfy sofa, and satellite TV (dvd player as well, so bring your dvd's to play). Spot on !
You can see that the property is well maintained throughout, by the cleanliness of the place.
There was a good sized garage, where we stored our bikes and bike bags, and also another separate storage area available if required.
The property was on the doorstep of the Alpe D'Huez climb and the main routes out of BDO, and so is absolutely brilliant for cyclists.
For skiers too, it is in a great position for ADH and also Les Deux Alpes and Auris.
The property also had it's own parking space out front.
It is only a short walk into BDO itself, where we found a few nice restaurants and bars.
One of our favourite aspects was the balcony. Perfect for sitting out in the warm evening air, and enjoying a nice cool beer or bottle of red. A few Sweet Chilli Doritos, and life was perfect !
Will most certainly look up this property if ever we cycle in the area again.

Summer Holiday in Bourg D'Oisan

We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks in July 2009. It is a very pretty,well equipped apartment in a great location. Lots of little extras provided-games, books, DVD player etc-not that we had much time to use them as there was so much to do in the area. Our main reason for visiting this location was that 3 of our party were taking part in the Alpe d'Huez Triathlon-which turned out to be a fantastic event -highly recommended if you are that way inclined!!
We also did white water rafting-exhilarating- and canoeing-more relaxing.
Eating and drinking out was great as we could easily walk into Bourg and not have to worry about the drive back.
All in all a fantastic apartment for a great holiday.

Fantastic apartment in a quiet residential area. We drove up the famous 21 hairpins to Alpe D'Huez everyday and really liked staying outside the ski resort.

Plenty of space for 4 and could easilt accomodate 6 or even 8 people if necessary.

The owners were very helpful and our deposit was swiftly returned.

Weekend ski break for the boys

Phil & the boys spent an excellent weekend ski-ing from 5th to 8th March '09. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Close to the 'Casino' supermarket & a short walk into the town of Bourg D'Oisans where we sampled a couple of the excellent restaurants & bars. We drove up the 'hairpins' to Alpe D'Huez each day for tremendous ski-ing conditions.....blue skies, sun & plenty of powder. Thoroughly recommended.

Large, spacious clean & quality apartment

Stayed here for the new year period into 2009. Absolutely lovely apartment just at the bottom of the drive up to alpe d'huez. You can get to Vaujanay (smaller old style alpine town which we adored) just as easily if you fancy a change and you have a car.. The apartment is not at all pokey, big bedrooms & bathrooms! it is exactly like the photos. very very pretty with everything you could possibly need. all the furnishings are top quality & the apartment feels safe & homely. The owners were really helpful beforehand with lots of tips & assistance, so much so we didn't need to contact them at all whilst there. we made full use of the cooking facilities & games provided. There is a massive supermarket really close by for supplies. Can't fault it at all. Thanks so much & we hope to see you again!
