A large, stone barn beautifully restored to a high standard in 2006. Capacity is for 2-11 plus 2 cots. Any group sizes of 2 or more can book. Our barn is a self catering property which is superbly equipped and appointed. The accommodation comprises of: Ground Floor: Bedrooms: 2 king -size bedrooms, 2 twin bedded rooms, 1 single room, a deluxe quest bed, two cots; two bathrooms. First Floor: spacious open plan– dining room (seats 10), large, kitchen area, sitting area (seats 10), highchair; games area (table football and snooker table); laundry room, freezer and toilet. Mezzanine with TV for DVD use, two-setter settee, books/games/ library, hall. Outside: Garden, security fenced pool (6x4m) patio, table, chairs, sun-loungers and BBQ, walnut tree. Prices include– electricity, water, bed linen and towels. Change of bed linen for 2nd or subsequent weeks is extra. ###Babies/children under 2 years using cots will not be charged per person/per week charge- they go free.###

The old, pretty village of Cornac is situated in the picturesque Lot region of France. Cornac used to be a wine producing village and is close to the wine producing Glanes area. Pilgrims used to pass through Cornac on their way to Santiago del Compostella, Spain. From the top of the nearby hill you can enjoy the view of the village Tuesdays and Saturdays are the days to visit the bustling market town of Bretenoux, which is also one of the bastide towns renowned in the area. The route from the A20 motorway, exiting at Cressensac, takes you through the village of Martel with its nine towers and past Vayrac, where it is said that the Gauls made their last stand against the Romans. There are so many pretty villages to see- the honey coloured stonework adds charm to the picture postcard look. The ambiance of the area helps you to unwind as soon as you arrive in the area. But when energy levels are high again there are plenty of sporting activites available .

A lovely property in a peaceful location

We stayed in this beautiful barn conversion in September 2009. We were very pleased with the way Imelda handled our late booking and subsequent queries. The barn is a spacious, very well appointed, attractive home with good quality fittings throughout. There is a small garden with all the garden furniture you could need and of course a great pool.
The village is quiet with no bar or restaurant but the nearest village is only a couple of miles away.

We used the barn as a base for cycling (bikes arranged for us by Imelda) canoeing on the Dordogne, touring this very pretty area, river swimming and walking in the hills. All of which are available nearby.

The house has lots of useful information booklets to help you plan your time. A car is essential.

We would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone.
