Luxury seafront apartment with superb views. Car park and indoor pool at nearby hotel Arcus. 14km from Pula airport, 126km from Trieste airport, 126km from Rijeka airport. The apartment is on the first floor in a secure development with a caretaker . It looks out over a quiet bay and a protected natural park. A sandy beach is a short way away. It has a fully fitted kitchen, air conditioning, washing machine, hair dryer, iron, satellite TV, DVD player, and CD player. Close to restaurants, bars, and shops. Medulin is a fishing village which is at it's busiest in July and August. It has shops, a bank, ATM, as well as numerous restaurants and bars. The main city of Pula is about 10 minutes away by car and has a Roman amphitheatre as well as other Roman buildings. We recommend hiring a car to visit the many towns and historical sites which are well worth a visit. Among the best are the harbour towns of Rovinj, Porec, Umag and Vrsar, where you can pick up boats to visit the Limski canal. There are also the hilltop towns of Motovun, Buje and Labin. Or take a trip to the Brijuni Islands, advanced booking for this is recommended.

Notes: Apartment is situated on the first floor, there is no lift, so is unsuitable for wheelchair users. A swimming pool and leisure fecilities are available at the hotel Arcus situated at the end of the road(approx 200m) for a small fee. The apartment does have an English speeking housekeeper. Both bedrooms have sea view. Boat and bicycle hire is available from the housekeeper Sandi.

Things to do: Medulin is a great place for all kinds of sports, both on dry land and in the water. Horse riding is available close by, as are bikes to rent. Golf is available on Brioni Island, and also soon in Liznjan , the next village along the coast. The area is excellent for walking and also bird watching. For those who like getting their feet wet, water sports are easily available. Scuba diving is available in Medulin , hire of sailing equipment including full size yachts is also available. Wind surfing is available from the local hotels. If you prefer history then the whole Istrian coast is well worth a visit. A ferry trip to Brijuni islands, Tito's home. Pula's roman history is also well worth a visit. For further information please get in touch.

Food: There are many places to eat, and something to please any taste. Fresh fish caught locally to black truffles. The themes range from Italian pasta and pizza , to steak and local ham and cheeses.

Beaches: Most of the beaches and small coves are quite rocky. There is about 5 minutes walk away the sandy beach Bijeca. This is ideal for small children, and very safe. The water is very shallow and great for swimming and looking for crabs. It is normally cleaned daily in the summer. IMPORTANT NOTE AS A VISITOR TO CROATIA YOU MUST REGISTER WITHIN 48 HOURS AT A TOURSIST OFFICE AND PAY THE VISITORS TAX. THIS IS APPROXIMATELY 1 EURO PER DAY PER ADULT WITH REDUCTIONS FOR CHILDREN. IT VARIES DEPENDING ON THE TIME OF YEAR. SANDI THE LOCAL AGENT WILL ASSIST YOU WITH THE PAPERWORK AND WHERE TO GO. HOWEVER YOU MUST ATTEND IN PERSON WITH YOUR PASSPORT AND REGISTER. THIS MAY SAVE YOU A FINE WHEN YOU TRY TO LEAVE CROATIA!

A well appointed appt with surerb views in a peaceful location, ideally situated, just a short ride to Pula, Premantura and the beautiful bays of cape Kamenjak. half an hour from Rovinj.Spent many a morning strolling around the island opposite and early morning dipping. Would highly reccomend, and will definately be returning. Many thanks to Steve

Great Apartment in a superb and quiet location

A really nice apartment, clean comfortable and spacious. Great views to wake up to over the bay and to watch the sunset in the evening. Medulin is a lively small town ideal for families and the apartment is at the end of a quiet little road with no noise at anytime of day or night. Without doubt, overall the best overseas holiday rental we have stayed in.

We stayed 2nd and 3rd weeks in August. Pula, Rovinja can get quite busy and if driving ,get out early to avoid the rush. Travelling inland and explore the small hilltowns and see the countryside is much quieter and worth doing as a contrast to the resorts. Really nice ,relatively quiet rocky coves on the Kamenjak peninsular are worth driving to( 20 mins). Clear waters and you can swim with the fish - take your mask and snorkel.
Would recommend a car to get about to see more of the area and a really nice base to return to in the evening.

New, comfortable apartment and kindest hosts

The apartment was really big, nice, comfortable, with all kinds of facilities ( Only needs a microwave and perhaps a dish-washer to be the PERFECT place). It was clean, althought we found a couple of spots that had been missed in one room. The owners are really nice and helpful and the housekeeper too.

On the other hand, Medulin is ok for families with kids as it has one of the few sandy beaches (grey sand) you can find in Croatia and there is a wide choice of italian, mexican, german and local cuisine restaurants as well as shopping facilities. It's a covenient location for visiting Pula's Roman ensemble. We explored interior Istria from Medulin too, as the region is quite small. Don't miss the frescoes in the renaissance church of Saint Mary in Beram ( you have to ask for the keys in the nearby hamlet) and try to pay a visit to Groznjan and Motovun , where trying a truffle-based menu is a MUST.
