Frosinone Province holiday apartment: Boville Ernica

We had a fantastic 2 week holiday at Casa Boville with our 3 children(15,13 and 8) in July '08.We were so pleased when we arrived to find that the apartment was even better than described. It was imaculate and decorated to a very high standard. The kitchen was extremely well equiped and the large bathroom had lovely thick, fluffy towels. The pool area was beautiful with paving and brick work reflecting the style of the local medieval villages. The views over the olive groves from our balcony and pool were breathtaking and the tranquility made this a really relaxing holiday. The local food was simple but delicious and very good value. Needless to say the icecream was unbelievable and we found a particularly good gelateria in Veroli. For a trip to the seaside Sperlonga and Terracina were about an hours drive away. We also had a few day trips into stunning Rome by train from Frosinine (a 15 minute drive away).Vesuvius and Pompeii were within driving distance and easy to find following the A1 Autostrada south toward Naples. We even managed to drive on down the Amalfi coast to Salerno (amazing views / scary roads) - busy even midweek but well worth it.
One of the owners, Augusto who spoke English,and his family lived nearby so help was at hand if required. They were very generous and welcoming and informative in recommending sights,and restaurants in the area. We became very settled during our stay at Casa Boville and were very sad to leave. We definitely plan to return to this lovely part of the world.
