A high-spec modern and spacious 2-bedroom apartment located on a quiet street, just 2 minutes walk from the restaurants and shops of central Chamonix, 5 minutes walk from the Aiguille du Midi ski lift and within easy reach of the Brevent ski lift. The apartment comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests in 2 bedrooms and the lounge living area: 1 double bedroom, 1 quadruple bedroom (2 bunk beds, 1 double bed), and spacious double sofa bed in lounge. An ideal base for Chamonix's year-round activities including world-famous skiing and snowboarding in the winter and hiking, mountain biking and climbing in the summer. The apartment has unbeatable views of Mont Blanc from the lounge patio windows and garden terrace (with BBQ and garden chairs). The open-plan living room has TV and CD/DVD player, ADSL broadband, a comfortable sofa and armchair and dining table and chairs. The modern kitchen is fully-equipped with conventional oven, washing machine, microwave and dishwasher.

Chamonix is a year-round mountain resort sitting beneath Mont Blanc, Europe's highest mountain. There is sensational skiing and snowboarding in the Chamonix valley during the winter at Les Grands Montets, Le Tour, Le Brevent and La Flegere ski areas. Chamonix's off-piste routes are famous: including the Vallee Blanche from the Aiguille du Midi (the cable car runs year-round), the Glacier d'Argentiere and the start of the Chamonix to Zermatt Haute Route (winter and summer). The other ski resorts of Les Houches, Megeve, Courmayeur and Verbier are also close by . Summer activities include day and multi-day hikes and walks, mountain-biking (for all levels) and rock-climbing. The town also has a well-equipped sports centre (with swimming pool) and there are also tennis courts and a golf course. Chamonix is great for shopping and has many excellent restaurants including two with Michelin stars and bars to suit all tastes. It is easily accessible from Geneva airport (1 hour motorway drive).

perfect central location september walking holiday

We have just spent 8 day here in September 2008 on a walking holiday. Location perfect, quiet and very relaxing but also central, could walk to town and all ammentites. Free bus and train travel cards available from tourist information. Excellant views from windows and terrace we are missing them already.

Laura very helpful with local information. Will definately return when next in chamonix.
