Photos and Description of this Abruzzo holiday villa Sleeps up to 12 adults & 6 children comfortably + 6 bathrooms

Beautifully presented self-catering farmhouse overlooks the stunning Gran Sasso mountain range. This villa has been meticulously renovated providing luxury accommodation for all age groups including the disabled. The upstairs accommodation is centred around a large landing with 5 spacious bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. Downstairs there is a 6th bedroom/rec room with a disabled facility shower room. There is a cosy 'snug' with a wood burner stove which opens onto a terrace that leads to the 13.5 metre pool with diving board nestling into the olive grove. The 45 foot Maiella stone kitchen is sympathetically furnished in old pine and opens onto a long veranda with views across a beautiful terrace to the mountains.

Casa Mimosa is only 35 mins drive from Pescara airport , Ancona 1.5 hrs & Rome 2 hrs. The famous national parks of Abruzzo, renowned for hiking, bird watching, bear tracking, wolf watching, caves and skiing are all within easy reach as are the miles of clean, sandy beaches along the Adriatic coast. The closest beaches are Pineto and Silvi Marina, north of Pescara and the bustling Francavilla to the south. The Vasto area also south of Pescara is worth a visit for its varied coastline and to see the fishing huts on stilts. Casa Mimosa's nearest town is Castiglione Messer Raimondo with a supermarket, bars, restaurants, a market and a medieval church. The award winning winery, San Lorenzo, between Piane and Madonna degli Angeli, is not to be missed! The beautiful historic hill top towns of Penne and Atri are both a short drive away.

Notes: There is also a kitchenette on the landing with tea/coffee making facilities leading out onto a balcony that catches the early morning sun. The washing machine and tumble drier are situated in a separate laundry area and the 6th bedroom/rec room is set up for children with a range of games, DVDs, video games and books. The hallway is a large, welcoming space with a piano. For our health conscious guests there is an exercise bike, ab trainer and a range of hand weights. Casa Mimosa is fitted with openable insect screens on every window, ceiling and free standing fans in every bedroom and air con throughout in case of excessive heat. The pool area is paved and has a very large pool house which provides shade and also houses the table tennis table. The swimming pool and garden are maintained by Luigi! Gabriella, his wife will provide meals for the freezer and a daily maid service (at extra cost to yourselves). For your security an alarm system has been fitted.

We spent 2 very happy weeks at Casa Mimosa. Everything they said would be there, was. We had lots of friends and relations who came over to visit us and we never felt cramped at all. The pool is fantastic, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable beds. The kitchen is magnificent and the outside living space is perfect for all ages. Table tennis, Wii, televisions, sky, DVD, fitness equipment everything was of the highest standard. I couldn't have wished for more. We have booked again for this year. Thank you.
