Our villa is very quietly situated on the edge of the village of Lespignan well away from the motorway. It is an easy stroll to the centre of Lespignan which has all amenities e.g. 2 boulangeries, a tabac, general stores, butchers, hairdressers, pharmacy, restaurant, pizzeria etc. It's approximately a 20 minute drive to the nearest sandy beaches and 20 minutes to the hypermarkets in Beziers. There is lots to do and see all year round. Beziers Vias airport with flights from Bristol and Luton in the UK is 25 minutes away. The airports of Montpellier, Carcassonne and Perpignan are all about 1 hour away and the airports of Nimes, Toulouse and Girona are also within driving distance. All these airports have low cost flights from various airports in the UK and other parts of Europe. The villa is less than 10 minutes from the A9 motorway which follows the coastline and links to Italy and Spain. It is possible to drive from the UK to Lespignan almost entirely on motorways.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A security deposit of £750 is required 8 weeks in advance. This will be refunded once the property has been checked and the keys have been returned. A higher security deposit will be required if pets are staying in the property.

    The price quoted is for the full property (5 bedrooms) being let.

    We require a 25% deposit to secure the booking and then the balance to be paid at least 8 weeks before the date of the holiday. Payment can be made in either Euros or Pounds (GBP). Full terms and conditions will be sent with the booking form.
  • The price includes bed linen and towels. The property will be cleaned before the start of each let. Additional cleaning during the let is available at an extra cost. Please note that pool and garden maintenance people will be visiting the property during each week. If there are any problems our property managers live locally and can be contacted directly.

    We have lowered our prices for September 2009. We may consider a further discount for a 2 week stay.

Notes: The villa is very child friendly (we have 3 small children of our own and have equipped it to suit ourselves). There are 2 cots, 2 high chairs, a playpen, socket covers in all rooms, baby monitor, child plates and beakers and a selection of toys, books and DVDs. The villa has newly fitted reversible air conditioning in all rooms. This keeps the villa cool in the summer and warm during the cooler months. The pool is 10m x 5m and ranges in depth from 1m - 3m. It has a weight bearing solar-powered cover which makes it completely safe for children. The newly fitted kitchen has been extended and incorporates a breakfast room and conservatory overlooking the pool.There is also a very large pool house with summer kitchen, shower room/WC and games area with pool table, table tennis and table football. There is an outside covered eating area next to the pool with a BBQ and plenty of seating. There are electrically operated gates and parking for several cars. Well behaved dogs considered.

Villa has been newly renovated: Please note that the property was fully renovated at the start of 2008. The renovation included a new kitchen with granite work-surfaces plus a breakfast room and conservatory, new fully tiled bathrooms , reversible air-conditioning throughout the house, re-tiled floors, new doors and windows and complete redecoration. All the beds had new mattresses and bedding for the start of the season. The kitchen has new appliances and crockery etc. The swimming pool has also been completely overhauled and now has a solar powered weight-bearing cover. This exceeds the safety measures required under French law and makes it as child safe as possible.There is new outdoor eating area that seats 10 and a built in barbecue and new sun loungers. Where possible the house is furnished with traditional style French furniture.

Local Village : Lespignan is a true French village and not a tourist trap! Our villa is on the edge of the village; a short stroll (5 minutes) to the center for your breakfast croissants. There is a small market on Wednesday & Friday mornings and the local Spar shop is even open on a Sunday morning. There are three general stores in the village but for more choice the hypermarkets in Beziers (Auchan, Geant and Le Clerc) are a short drive away & there is a Casino supermarket at Colombier which is open 7 days a week. The Hyper-U hypermarket between Serignan and Valras Plage is also open on a Sunday during the Summer. There are two pizzerias in the village plus a gourmet restaurant - Hostellerie du Chateau. More restaurants are available in the neighbouring villages. There is an excellent choice of restaurants in Beziers. Our villa is very private and located in a quiet area with no road noise. The villa is surrounded by walls and trees and is not overlooked by neighboring properties.

Children: A huge indoor soft play area has just opened 10 minutes from the villa. This is ideal on the rare occasions that the sun doesn't shine and is suitable for toddlers to approx. 10 year olds. Our children love it.

Hving been away last year to a great Villa nearer montpellier I never expected to be able to match it...it didn't..it surpassed it by far. The villa has everything you could think off and was beautifully decorated, maintained and positioned. Its near a village which was great for gettin the breakfast easily but location was great for beaches, bezier and the countryside. We were a large group of 6 adults and 6 children (all under 5) plenty of bathrooms and it was a great size, lots of space for the children to play, toys and inflatables for the pool provided. We liked the fact we could still work by checking emails through the wireless connection and the pool was cleaned half way through the stay. We even had great beach towels for the duration. As we had young children we did a lt of cooking and eating outside using the summer and indoor kitchin and BBQ. There wasn't one piece of equipment missing even if you fancied adventurous cooking! loads of cultlary,crockery etc so we could use the dishwasher and not be washing up all day.

I was relunctant to write te review as I dont actually want other people finding out about such a great villa! we will certainly be back!

this villa is well equipped with everything you could ask for,it was spotlessly clean when we arrived,with lovely bedrooms,bathrooms,kitchen etc which is all done to a very high standard,and in an ideal location for the beaches,shops but also very quiet.It has everything for children inc inflatables for the pool but also very safe for children.The sky tv and internet is a bonus too.
the pool is big and has a solar cover which keeps it warm and there are 6 loungers and the games room is excellent with a good size pool table,table tennis,table football and beer fridge.also had toilet and shower so ideal for by the pool.
The owner is very friendly and helpful and any problems we just called the management company who delt with them very quickly.
we would not hesitate to book this property again and would certainly recommend it to our friends.
its the best villa we have stayed in.

60th birthday celebrations

The villa sits neatly at the edge of an attractive French town. It has been beautifully restored - clearly a labour of love by the interested owners who have young children themselves. The kitchen/diner leads to a conservatory then outside to the pool and b.b.q. area. We were impressed by the large pool house containing table tennis and table football facilities. As well as our children we had with us our 2 grandchildren aged 4 and 1 and the toys, pool equipment and videos meant that no toys needed to be transported on this holiday.

There were excellent facilities available in Lespignan and in particular a bakery we visited daily, a butcher plus a local market. For the more major shopping we found the nearby Casino excellent.

Despite the fact that we were the easons's first visitors the weather was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The route from Calais contains an attractive section of the new A75 a considerable improvement over our earlier excursions to the mediterranean and we comfortably made the return trip in a day.

We intend to return to Lespignan and would thoroughly recommend the facilities at this villa to families particularly with young children; for sight seeing; for girls get-away. All will enjoy exploring the area and the local beaches.

A Superb Holiday

We have been meaning to write this review for some time now but the fact we’re writing this six months later shows how memorable this holiday was to us. The villa is absolutely superb and has everything you need to be a real home from home, whilst at the same time making you feel quite special as you enjoy all it has to offer. Its location is ideal for exploring the diverse countryside around it but anyone lucky enough to stay here should definitely put plenty of time aside just to relax and enjoy the villa. We will certainly be returning and can’t wait to do so!
