Our villa is very quietly situated on the edge of the village of Lespignan well away from the motorway. It is an easy stroll to the centre of Lespignan which has all amenities e.g. 2 boulangeries, a tabac, general stores, butchers, hairdressers, pharmacy, restaurant, pizzeria etc. It's approximately a 20 minute drive to the nearest sandy beaches and 20 minutes to the hypermarkets in Beziers. There is lots to do and see all year round. Beziers Vias airport with flights from Bristol, UK is 25 minutes away. The airports of Montpellier, Carcassonne and Perpignan are all about 1 hour away and the airports of Nimes, Toulouse and Girona are also within driving distance. All these airports have low cost flights from various airports in the UK and other parts of Europe. The villa is less than 10 minutes from the A9 motorway which follows the coastline and links to Italy and Spain. It is possible to drive from the UK to Lespignan almost entirely on motorways.

Notes to the rental rates

  • A security deposit of £750 is required 8 weeks in advance. This will be refunded once the property has been checked and the keys have been returned. A higher security deposit will be required if pets are staying in the property.
    The price quoted is for the full property (5 bedrooms) being let. Out of peak season we will consider adjusting the price if fewer bedrooms are required.
    We require a 25% deposit to secure the booking and then the balance to be paid at least 8 weeks before the date of the holiday. Payment can be made in either Euros or Pounds (GBP). Full terms and conditions will be sent with the booking form.
  • The price includes bed linen and towels. The property will be cleaned before the start of each let. Additional cleaning during the let is available at an extra cost. Please note that pool and garden maintenance people will be visiting the property during each week. If there are any problems our local property managers live in the village and can be contacted directly.

Notes:

The villa is very child friendly (we have 3 small children of our own and have equipped it to suit ourselves). There are 2 cots, 2 high chairs, a playpen, socket covers in all rooms, baby monitor, child plates and beakers and a selection of toys, books and DVDs. The villa has newly fitted reversible air conditioning in all rooms. This keeps the villa cool in the summer and warm during the cooler months. The pool is 10m x 5m and ranges in depth from 1m - 3m. It has a weight bearing solar-powered cover which makes it completely safe for children. The newly fitted kitchen has been extended and incorporates a breakfast room and conservatory overlooking the pool. There is also a very large pool house with summer kitchen, shower room/wc and games area with table tennis and table football. There is an outside covered eating area next to the pool with a BBQ and plenty of seating. There are electrically operated gates and parking for several cars. Well behaved dogs considered.

Renovation

Please note that the property has been fully renovated at the start of 2008. The renovation includes a new kitchen with granite work-surfaces plus a breakfast room and conservatory, new fully tiled bathrooms , reversible air-conditioning, re-tiled floors, new doors and windows and complete redecoration. All the beds have new mattresses and bedding for the start of the season. The kitchen has new appliances and crockery etc. The swimming pool has also been completely overhauled and has a solar powered weight-bearing cover. This exceeds the safety measures required under French law and makes it as child safe as possible. There is new outdoor eating area that seats 10 and a built in barbecue and new sun loungers. Where possible the house is furnished with traditional style French furniture.

Lespignan is a true French village and not a tourist trap! Our villa is on the edge of the village; a short stroll (5 minutes) to the centre for your breakfast croissants. There is a small market on Wednesday & Friday mornings and the local Spar shop is even open on a Sunday morning. There are three general stores in the village but for more choice the hypermarkets in Beziers (Auchan, Geant and Le Clerc) are a short drive away & there is a Casino supermarket at Colombier. The Hyper-U hypermarket between Serignan and Valras Plage is also open on a Sunday during the Summer. There are two pizzerias in the village plus a gourmet restaurant - Hostellerie du Chateau. More restaurants are available in the neighbouring villages. There is a good choice of restaurants in Beziers. Our villa is very private and located in a quiet area with no road noise. The villa is surrounded by walls and trees and is not overlooked by neighbouring properties

Hving been away last year to a great Villa nearer montpellier I never expected to be able to match it...it didn't..it surpassed it by far. The villa has everything you could think off and was beautifully decorated, maintained and positioned. Its near a village which was great for gettin the breakfast easily but location was great for beaches, bezier and the countryside. We were a large group of 6 adults and 6 children (all under 5) plenty of bathrooms and it was a great size, lots of space for the children to play, toys and inflatables for the pool provided. We liked the fact we could still work by checking emails through the wireless connection and the pool was cleaned half way through the stay. We even had great beach towels for the duration. As we had young children we did a lt of cooking and eating outside using the summer and indoor kitchin and BBQ. There wasn't one piece of equipment missing even if you fancied adventurous cooking! loads of cultlary,crockery etc so we could use the dishwasher and not be washing up all day.

I was relunctant to write te review as I dont actually want other people finding out about such a great villa! we will certainly be back!
