Penthouse apartment, with private roof top pool, in a brand new development which boasts communal gardens, large pool, children’s pool and tennis court. Parking is easy and there is a lift from street direct to the front door. Just furnished to a high standard; the sitting room has leather sofa and large flat screen TV. Master bedroom has king-size iron bed and the second bedroom has both double bed and bunk-beds to give flexibility on accommodation requirements. The kitchen is finished in birch wood and black granite. There are windows all around with views to the sea. Our apartment stays cool in summer and there is always the roof pool to jump into. The roof eating area is shaded by woven canes and benefits from cooling breezes. Breakfast on the veranda, lunch on the roof and dinner around the glass top table by the TV, if you’re that dedicated to cooking! Beer in one of the village bars followed by a restaurant meal watching the sunset and a stroll home may be more your style?

Located in the old Moorish hilltop whitewashed village of Frigiliana. Two minutes walk to the picturesque central square, small shops and restaurants within narrow cobbled streets lined with flowers. Views over sub-tropical mango and avocado groves to the sea while, behind, the Sierra de Almijara soars above the village. Within 15 minutes walk you can be in the Sierra Tejada National Park, alongside the shaded valley of the Rio Higueron or following walking trails into the mountains. Granada, world famous Alhambra and the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada are 90 minutes away. The area has the best climate in Europe with sun-bathing 9 months of the year. Six kilometres by car or bus from Frigiliana is Nerja with cafes, restaurants, night life, local shops, supermarkets, street performances, the famous Nerja caves, the Balcon de Europa remaining from the 9th Century Moorish fortress and it’s miles of sandy beaches and coves, including the Blue Flag beaches of Burrianna and Calahonda.

  • Electricity water and gas is included in the rental. All linen and towels are provided except beach towel. . 30% of the cost. is required at the time of the booking The balance is due six weeks before arrival. Extra days stay may possible and charged at a pro rata rate.
    Arrival time is from 1600pm and departure 1000am to allow time to prepare for the next guests. This can be flerxible if at all possible. Change of linen is provided on the day seven if you are staying more than one week. Discounted rates available for the low season.
    The apartment has wheelchair access and a lift. However, access to the private roof terrace is via a staircase. Easy parking is available outside the apartment a rare commodity in Frigliana
  • Our apartment is rather special because of its private pool. Usually these come with villas only,especially in Frigiliana..

    The pool is maintained by a local man ,Isaac ,who will meet you at some point during the week . He also maintains the pools in the garden and can be found in the mornings around the development if you have any pool questions
  • We now have english television including everything usually available in Freeview uk

The window has fine linen curtains with the addition of shutter blinds to keep out the sun if you want to lie in or to keep it cool during the day. Bedroom 2 has a large double bed and good quality bunkbeds. Both have excellent mattresses, duvets plus top and bottom sheets. Plenty of soft and comfortable pillows. The large bed is in painted white wood and has a matching wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. There is a white wood night stand.The window is equipped with shutters. All the furniture is of a high quality and is brand new.

Notes: The apartment is suitable for the disabled and infirm and the bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and balcony are accessible. However the terrace and private pool are via a staircase only. The kitchen has just been fitted and has black granite work surfaces with solid wooden units. All the appliances are in stainless steel. From the outdoor private pool the view is 360 degrees, mountains to the east and west, the sea to the south. It is truly breathtaking. Sit by the pool at night, with a glass of wine and watch the always spectacular sunset. Watch the moon rise and see stars like you've never seen before. Six can eat around the table on the roof veranda, four can eat around the round glass table in the sitting room and three can eat snacks around the balcony table outside the sitting room.

The village: Frigiliana has thousand of years of history. and within its narrow cobbled streets now home to many artists you will find not only a plethora of restaurants ,little bistros and cafes but many genuinely friendly people. Unlike in a town the old man sitting by his front door will expect you to say hello as you pass by. Here flowers spill out on to the roads.In the ancient village centre it seems as if everywhere is a garden and in the evening families lovingly tend to these blossoms and sweep the pavement around their pots and urns. Within a stones throw of the village is a national park, come early in the summer or autumn for long hikes amid the wild flowers and a myriad of butterflies. for those who are less strenuous a stroll along the Rio Higueron close to the village will inspire you. There are in fact many walking trails and mountain bike trails also. This is a very special almost secret part of Spain.

Around: If you feel like being lazy just stroll round the village, it is beautiful enough. Add to that a few interesting shops art galleries, artisan workshops and outside cafes with breathtaking views and we think you will hardly want drive anywhere else.

Well furnished apartment with almost everything needed for a wonderful break. We enjoyed our stay and found the rooftop pool sublime. The village and the area around is everyyhing you could wish for,with great views and lovely places to eat within strolling distance.The meet and greet service was a great help and very friendly.The parking could be difficult at the start and finish of the school day and also at weekends.We feel that sky t.v would turn this into a five star holiday.We will be recommending this property to all our friends and look forward to a return visit ourselves.
Owner's Response: Thanks for a great review. We have always found parking to be easy even in the busy summer months. If you arrive at school pick-up time, just head away from the school where there are always places. Just a short walk back to the apartment block. For apartments in the village itself, then it's walking access only with rent-a-mule for the heavy shopping!

Heaven...with a view!

My partner and I had a fantastic stay here at the beginning of October. The apartment has everything one could ever need and benefits from spectacular views from the pool which we struggled to leave! We hired a car for the week and parking was readily available - mostly right outside the front door!

It was our second visit to Frigiliana and we weren't disappointed. The pace of life in this beautiful village is ideal for a relaxing escape, but has the benefit of being ideally located to explore the surrounding areas. This apartment exceeded all of our expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. Another plus is the very comfy beds - always a bonus!

The local restaurants are excellent, the scenary is stunning, and this is a perfect base. All in all, we couldn't recommend it more highly!

Just returned from 2 fab weeks in this flat. Although there were six of us in the first week, with all the nooks and crannies, we never felt cramped. The apartment was clean and well maintained. The private pool is not enormous, but absolutely perfect for cooling off in. Lots of lovely restaurants in the village. Los Esperantos is good value with good food, while the Mirador and the Garden are a bit more expensive but with wonderful views and even better food. Would recommend this apartment and the village for families and couples. Not sure two weeks would hold much attraction for teenagers looking for exciting nightlife! We will be back though!
Owner's Response: The penthouse apartment is spacious light and airy and has been furnished in a crisp contempary style to a high standard.
The pool area covers two double bedrooms, but for an energetic swim the large outside pool is in the gardens and is usually empty.

We have just returned home from an absolutely lovely holiday Boo!!
The apartment is EVERYTHING anyone would ask from the very best holiday accommodation. It has been planned and furnished with care and taste, very well maintained and spotlessly clean.
I have to congratulate the owners on the very comfortable and fresh beds!! and linen, this to me is so important as often in self catering accommodation this can be a bit 'hit and miss' it was so welcome.( I am sure we all know that sort of mustiness even if everywhere else is clean!!)
The little veranda outside the lounge was lovely for breakfasts and the top for long lunches!!! Then the icing on the cake..... the fabulous pool. To have this just for yourself with all the views/sites and acres of blue sky was incredible and the stars at night.Brilliant.
The village is just outside the door with lovely restaurants not too expensive, all tastes catered for.
Frigiliana is a beautiful village and is true Spain.
This has got to be the best holiday you could want the only draw back is you really do have to leave... but there is always next year!!

Great Apartment Fantastic Spanish Village

Apartment is lovely, we had a great time, the roof terrace and private pool made it head and shoulders above the rest on the small complex. Our pool was cleaned 3 times during our 8 night stay and was very friendly and helpful. We were met in Frigiliana by the Property Managers within 5 mins of calling them on our arrival to show us to the apartment.

The drive from Malaga to Frigiliana is easy just a left turn off the motorway.

Frigiliana itself was excellent, plenty of bars and restaurants in the village to choose from. Restaurants - we particularly liked El Mirador ( more expensive but worth it with excellent views of the village) Sacristan (in the Church Square) and Las Chinas (excellent value for money). Bars -Virtudes as we could sit and watch our children in the playground opposite and also the Polski Bar (not sure of the real name) we called every evening on our way home. The village is great for families and couples, relaxed and laid back.

Will definitely be returning and will recommend to friends and family. I cannot really think of anything negative abouth the whole experience for our family.
