Vilamoura holiday villa

We were looking for a family sun holiday in September to get away from the rain in Dublin and after looking around at soooo many villas Vila Sol looked to good to be true as it looked lovely and was very good value, so we weren't expecting anything major for the money we paid. As soon as we arrived in Faro we were met by the manager of the property and she was very helpful and brought us to the villa. We also rented a car at the airport which was really advisable. There were 8 adults and 2 small children. The villa itself was really lovely, very very spacious and we didn't feel on top of eachother at all as the bedrooms are spaced out very nicely throughout the villa. The dinning area is great and spacious with lots of seating, the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The sun shines all day around the pool and the pool itself was great with the Pool guy coming every couple of days to make sure it was clean, also the maid service was good. Loads of space around the villa outside and its in a great spot with a nice feeling of safety and upper class. The Hilton Hotel is a 5 min walk and we arranged taxi's there down to the marina every night which only cost €4.80 each taxi ride down. The marina is lovely especially at night, there are so many restaurants and bars, but not tacky at all, the food is fab and very well priced, our best recommendation would be the Mayflower restaurant it was busy every night and the food was excellent, it worked out at €40 each inc starters, main, dessert and wine/beers, that was our most expensive meal. We were delighted with the villa and the overall holiday. We would highly recommend Vilamoura and Vila Sol. We will be going again for sure!
