The Villa is conveniently situated on the outskirts of the Kalyves Beach area of Almirida Bay. There is a walk of approximately 500 yards to the nearest Supermarket and, just a little further you will find the start of the largest sandy beach in the area. Tavernas and other shops are within walking distance. The ancient City of Xania is approximately 20 kilometres away. Villa Dimitris makes an ideal location for those wishing to have a peaceful, relaxing holiday and yet not far away from civilisation. From the Villa doorstep you can start some lovely hikes in the adjacent lush green valley. Or if you'd rather choose a mountainbike. We have them, along with descriptions of great bicycle tours.   • Villa Dimitris has a large double bedroom and two x twin bedded rooms. In the living area there is a futon style bed settee which could be used for additional sleeping. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned and have built in wardrobes and cupboards so that there is ample storage space even for those who must bring everything with them whilst on holiday ! The bedrooms are furnished and fitted to a very high standard. We offer a weekly maid service for change of linens and towels. The main Bathroom is adjacent to the Master Bedroom, on the first floor, and, there is an additional Bathroom with Shower, WC and Wash Hand Basin on the Ground floor near to the door to the Swimming Pool and Terrace areas. Bedrooms have balcony/terraces which over look the beautiful gardens and pool area. The property is ideally suited as they are only a short walk to the Beaches, Shops and Tavernas. The INKA large supermarket is nearby. The cost of air conditioning is included in the rental rates.

THE VILLAGE OF KALYVES: The Village of Kalyves (Almirida Bay) is 20km to the east of Chania, once, the ancient capital of Crete. Almirida has Tavernas, Shops, Gift and Coffee Shops and Mini Markets. There is a large Supermarket just down the road. Villas Dimitris and Dominica are in an ideal location for those clients wishing to visit this beautiful and historic area of Crete. The famous attraction of The Knossos Palace at Heraklion is about one and a half hours drive away but, well worth a visit. All clients are met at either Heraklion or Chania airports and then met again at Dunes Bar / Almira Hotel on the seafront at Almirida and then taken to the Villa. Where to begin?

This lovely, villa, excellently presented, with every amenity thinkable, provided us with the platform for a magical holiday.

We are almost veterans of villa holidays, (this was our seventh) and by far the best yet.

My disabled wife, who is mindful of her privacy, was particularly impressed by the level of seclusion afforded within such proximity to so many excellent amenities, the garden and pool her particular favourites.
I was impressed that everything was in excellent working order.

Not only does Kalyves afford everything necessary for a wonderful holiday, rendering a hire-car a luxury to the able-bodied, but it is only a short drive, or taxi ride to either Almyrida, just down the coast, with it's sandy beaches and excellent strand, or inland to Vamos, more traditional authentically Cretan with it's two excellent tavernas, and top rate medical facilities, should you need them close to hand.

All-in-all, everything anyone could want from a holiday in Crete, but I'd particularly recommend this villa for those with mobility problems.
