Photos and Description of this Coreglia Antelminelli holiday farmhouse 600m above sea-level with private swimming pool

The house is set among extensive mature gardens surrounded by fig apple olive and plum trees and a small vineyard. There is of course private parking in the grounds. Table tennis is available and you can hire mountain bikes. The outhouse has a wood-fired oven for making your own pizza and there is a barbecue too. A free pizza and wine night is organized by the owners on the premises. Nearby there is a sink table and chairs and a covered seating area for 'al fresco' meals. The kitchen is roomy and well equipped with a starter hamper with foodstuffs supplied free. There is also a large comfortable lounge with stereo, video and satellite TV. The bathroom has a shower, WC, bidet and wash basin. There are two large double bedrooms with spectacular views. There is also a downstairs toilet and shower.

Coreglia which lies between the Apuan Alps {of Carrara marble fame } and the Appenine mountain range behind has just been voted one of the 250 most beautiful 'borghi' villages in Italy. The house is approximately 37km from Lucca and 2km before you reach the hilltop village of Coreglia Antelminelli. Coreglia Antelminelli is famous for its chalk statuettes which have been produced here since the 16th century. This art form has been passed from father to son and you can see examples of these statuettes exhibited in the museo della figurina di gesso e dell'emigrazione in the ancient palazzo Vanni in Coregla Antelminelli. COREGLIA ANTELMINELLI In Coreglia which is very near 'Al Palazzetto' there are two butchers' shops, two markets/grocery stores and several restaurants/pensioni. Coreglia also has a bank (with a cash dispenser) three haridressing salons, a post office, two bars and several churches. The local bus service to Lucca. Bus stop outside villa.
