The living area and bedroom 1 both open up onto the full length balcony furnished with sun loungers and dining table for 6. The modern kitchen has ceramic hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and separate balcony. Access is via secure underground parking with video entry system.

Notes to the rental rates

• Rates are weekly in pounds sterling. A non-refundable deposit of 20% is payable when booking and the balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A security deposit of £150 is required at the time of final payment. This is refunded in the form of a cheque to the lead guest, following a satisfactory inspection of the apartment after departure.
  
• Rental rates in season are fully inclusive of all services. Bed linen is changed weekly and towels twice weekly. Changeover day is Saturday. Flexibility possible out of high season depending on previous bookings. The apartment is available from 3pm on arrival date and must be vacated by 10am on departure date. Local management company available for assistance. A cot and high chair can be provided locally - please ask. Local charges for Wifi usage - please consult information folder in apartment for details.
  
• Stays of less than one week may be available in months other than those shown - please contact us for details.
  Christmas rates available on request. Discounts for 2 week or longer bookings available in winter (Nov-Feb inc). Electricity will be metered and charged separately during low season. Service levels for winter season bookings by arrangement.

Beaches

The main beach in Lagos, Meia Praia is a ten minute walk away - a huge broad sandy beach stretching for 4 kilometres, means there is always plenty of space. There are a number of beach bars scattered along the road offering excellent food for lunch or dinner, plus snacks. Umbrellas and sun beds are available for hire at a number of locations along the beach. There is plenty of parking. Within a 5-10 minute drive from the apartment are a number of other smaller beautiful beaches and coves - Dona Ana, Porto de Mos, Luz and Burgau are just some - all have parking and good facilities.

Sightseeing, Culture & Entertainment

There are plenty of sights to see and things to do in Lagos - visit the Governor's Castle and Old Fortress, Lagos Museum or the old slave market to view art exhibitions. During the summer season there are frequent concerts at the amphitheatre close to the old town walls. From the Marina you can arrange dolphin watching, water skiing, diving, big game fishing or take a pleasant afternoon cruise around the nearby grottos and caves. During the evening tour the old town's cobbled streets which are brimming with street entertainers, jugglers and musicians and enjoy time at one of the many street cafes and bars. Lagos also has a cinema with some of the latest films shown in English. The local market is held on Saturdays close to the bus station. Alternatively the Algarve shopping centre is approx. a 30 minute drive away featuring many known European brands, plus a bowling alley, 10 screen cinema and food court. Lisbon is a 2 hr drive or tour around the wild Atlantic coast to Vila do Bispo.

Eating Out & In

You will never be short of options for dining out during your stay. Within the Marina is a range of cafes and restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets, from snacks to traditional Portuguese cooking and even a Chinese restaurant and Pizza Hut, both of which do takeaways as well! Once in the heart of Lagos town you really will be spoilt for choice with gastronomic restaurants serving the fresh fish and seafood of the day, as well as the dozens of bistros and pavement cafes where the value for money will impress! Not forgetting also the range of Indian, Thai, Chinese, Burgers and Steak restaurants to tempt you! If dining alfresco on the balcony or in the cool of the apartment, plenty of local fresh produce is readily available. Lagos fish and fruit/vegetable market opens daily and there is a supermarket behind the Marina complex within 2 minutes walk of the apartment, offering everything you need inc.fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh fish, meat, wines and a bakery.

Golf Information:

The Algarve is famous for its range of fabulous golf courses and rightly so! Of the 27 courses (soon to be 31!) 2 of the finest are within a 5 minute drive of the Marina: PALMARES GOLF Situated about 4km away along the beach at Meia Praia, Palmares Golf is a 5961 metre long par 71 course combining the best of a links course with lush greenery of the gentle hills. Trolleys and clubs are available to hire and during the summer some special deals are available. Lovely clubhouse with large terrace and stunning views out to sea and towards Portimao. BOAVISTA GOLF Just 5 km away along the N125 towards Sagres (West) brings you to Boavista Golf Resort. A spectacular par 71 course designed by Howard Swan, Boavista also boasts a driving range and teaching academy. Again, trolleys, clubs and buggies are available to hire.
