Greenwood Granary is a spacious first floor conversion of a former granary in 2 1/2 acres of garden with extensive views over the adjoining valley & countryside. It is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in glorious rural Sussex. A well equipped living area has sofas, TV with DVD player, music system & local tourist information. At one end are dining and kitchen areas with table & chairs, integrated fridge with freezer section, dishwasher, ceramic hob and combination oven with microwave and grill. Three steps down lead to the bedroom suite with Super King Size bed, shower room and dressing/landing area with two sturdy chair beds ideal for children. There is ample drawer and wardrobe space and downstairs is a separate utility room with washing machine etc. and space for muddy dogs, bicycles and boots. Well behaved dogs are welcome at the Granary so long as they are not allowed on the furniture. Essential groceries (including a bottle of wine!) and toiletries are provided.

Greenwood Granary is at the very end of a sparsely populated 'no through road'. The local villages provide several good pubs & a village shop while the market towns of Heathfield & Hailsham provide greater facilities including restaurants & regular farmers' markets. Brighton, Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells & Hastings are all within 45 minutes by car as are Glyndebourne & Battle (1066 country). The area is well endowed with places of interest open to the public. Houses & gardens such as Michelham Priory, Batemans, Herstmonceux, Sissinghurst & Bodiam Castles are within easy reach as are steam railways, beaches, Drusillas Zoo & Groombridge Place Enchanted Forest. Children will enjoy, for example, go-karting in Eastbourne & for little ones Blackberry Farm with donkeys, rabbits and guinea pigs. This is an ideal base for many outdoor pursuits. From birdwatching to beach combing, hang gliding to horse riding & sailing to cycling, Graham & Sarah will be happy to help you plan your stay.

Notes to the rental rates

Short breaks of up to 3 nights are available for £250 at certain times of the year. Please enquire for full details.
Well behaved dogs can be accommodated for £25 per week per dog. All duvets, bed linen and towels for use at the Granary are included in the price. There is no fuel surcharge.

A non-returnable deposit of £100 will be paid when the reservation is confirmed by the Owner.
The balance of the fee for the holiday will be paid no later than eight weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. If the holiday is booked less than eight weeks prior to its commencement, then the whole of the fee will be payable on reservation. If the Guest cancels the holiday rental for any reason then the amount paid by the Guest will be refunded by the Owner (less the deposit) if such cancellation is more than four weeks prior to the holiday rental date. A refund will only be made if the cancellation is made less than four weeks prior to the holiday rental date if the Owner can re-let the accommodation for that period.

The Guest will be and remain liable for any damage or repair or extra cleaning required to the accommodation or any of the fixtures and fittings as a consequence of the occupation by the Guest.
The Guest must draw the Owner’s attention to any breakages or damage caused during his occupation of the Granary.
The Guest must not allow the accommodation to be occupied by more than the number of people agreed with the Owner at the time of the reservation.
It is the responsibility of the Guest to arrange his own holiday insurance. The Owners cannot be held responsible for the loss of any of the Guest’s possessions howsoever occasioned nor for the cancellation or curtailment of his holiday through no fault of the Owners.

| Notes: | The washing machine, tumble drier and clothes airier are located in the Utility Room downstairs where there is also space for bicycles and muddy/wet clothes and dogs, a further sink and an 'outside' WC. Free view channels are available. There are two areas of garden for guests' use. One is a patio adjoining the Granary with garden furniture and the other a fenced area which is quite private and incorporates a pretty pond with fish and garden bench to enjoy the beautiful views. The portable barbecue can be used in either garden. Access to Greenwood Granary is via an external wooden staircase making the accommodation unsuitable for wheelchair users or the less mobile. Whilst children are welcome. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE 2 FENCED PONDS AND AN ELECTRIC FENCE ON ONE PERIMETER. |

It is difficult to describe the peace and tranquility here. You may hear the nightingale sing and it is rare for a day to pass without sight of herds of roe and fallow deer. The wildlife and birdwatching opportunities are immense.
